We had the good fortune of connecting with Georgina Quinn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Georgina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I struggled for many years with my weight. I finally decoded the simple ways to lose weight and keep it off and keeping that information to myself felt very selfish.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think what sets my business apart from others is that I teach weight loss in a whole new way. I show women how to have sustainability and make a lifestyle out of new eating habbits. I help them get to the cause of their eating and not just treat the symptom.
It was not easy to get here. Business mindset is the oposite of an employeed mindset so I still struggle with all kinds of challanges. I guess one of the biggest ones is feeling all alone and having to wear all these hats and learning all kinds of new tools and tech.
So many lessons, One of the biggest ones is to pre-plan and managing my week ahead and make the most of my time as it goes very fast.
My brand was inspired by my story/ struggle of being over 50lbs overweight for over a decade. I now feel total freedom around food and food choices. I’m not eternally confussed about food choices and when to eat and what.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start out by taking them to the best Spa in Asheville, The Omni. Spend a whole day there and have a light lunch and drinks at their terrace then go to dinner to my favorite restaurant in downtown Asheville, Curate. Then to the Arras hotel bar for a night cap.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Life Coaching School helped me get the best coaching certification on the planet. They also have assisted me with ongoing support for my growing business. This has been life-changing!
