We had the good fortune of connecting with Gerson Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gerson, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We wanted to build something Miami had never seen before. At the time, there wasn’t a platform that truly captured the voice of the city — its people, its culture, its stories, and its everyday reality. We saw a gap in how Miami was being represented and felt the responsibility to create content that reflected the thoughts, energy, and identity of our community.

What started as a vision to raise Miami’s voice quickly evolved into something much bigger. Over time, Dimelo305 grew into a movement — expanding from storytelling to community events, wellness initiatives, partnerships, and spaces that bring people together. The mission stayed the same, but the impact and the way we serve the community have continued to grow with it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At Dimelo305, our work centers around storytelling — but not just any storytelling. We focus on creating authentic, community-driven content that reflects the real voice of Miami. What sets us apart is our commitment to originality. When we started, most content coming out of Miami felt repetitive or disconnected from the everyday people who actually make this city what it is. We wanted to change that. Today, our work blends production, culture, community engagement, and wellness initiatives under one mission: to represent Miami as it deserves to be represented.

We’re proud of how far this vision has grown. What began as a simple idea — to highlight Miami’s voice — evolved into a full production company, a platform for local stories, a community hub, and now a movement that connects people through interviews, events, run clubs, skating meetups, and partnerships across the city. We’re especially proud of the trust the community has placed in us. Being recognized, invited, and welcomed everywhere we go reminds us why we do this.

Getting here wasn’t easy. We had no blueprint, no major investors, and no roadmap. We built everything from the ground up — learning cameras, editing, branding, strategy, partnerships, and community building all at once. There were moments where the workload, the doubts, or the lack of resources made things tough. But we overcame challenges by staying consistent, staying curious, and staying true to our purpose. Every setback taught us something, and every small win pushed us forward.

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that consistency and authenticity build trust. People support you when they feel seen. They show up when they feel connected. And they believe in you when you represent something real.

What we want the world to know about Dimelo305 is simple:
We are here to elevate the stories that matter.
We are here to create spaces where community feels seen.
We are here to represent Miami with intention, respect, and pride.

Our brand was built by the people, with the people, and for the people. And our story is still being written — with every project, every event, and every person who joins us along the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1: Little Havana + Calle Ocho
We’d start in Little Havana, walking through Calle Ocho, grabbing Cuban coffee, and visiting the local spots that make this area feel alive. It’s one of the best places to understand Miami’s cultural heartbeat.

Day 2: Wynwood
Next, Wynwood — a must. We’ve filmed, walked, and connected with so many people there. Between the murals, local shops, cafes, and the creative energy in the streets, it’s the perfect place to spend a day exploring and meeting artists and entrepreneurs.

Day 3: Miami Beach
A day dedicated to Miami Beach, especially the areas we’ve hosted events or filmed at. Whether it’s enjoying the sunrise, playing beach volleyball, or hanging out near the lifeguard towers, it’s one of the city’s most iconic and refreshing spots.

Day 4: Brickell + Downtown
This is where modern Miami shines. We’d hit some local restaurants, walk around Brickell City Centre, and show them the energy of a place that feels like it’s growing by the week. It’s where business, lifestyle, and culture merge.

Day 5: Doral Run Day
We’d dedicate a day to health and community by bringing them to one of our Run/Walk/Skate Club meetups — or taking them to Doral, where we’ve connected with the Doral Police Department, local leaders, and runners. They’d get to experience how Miami moves as a community, not just as a tourist destination.

Day 6: Farmers Market or Community Events
Miami’s local markets and community events are some of our favorite places to film and hang out. From local vendors to small businesses to cultural showcases, these spots show the soul of Miami. We’d take them to whichever event is happening that weekend — there’s always something.

Day 7: Sunset + Food Tour Through Miami’s Hidden Gems
We’d end the week with a sunset by the water — whether in Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, or even the riverfront — followed by a food tour of our favorite local spots we’ve visited through work. Miami’s food scene is one of the most diverse in the country, and there’s always a new spot worth trying.

To us, the most exciting part of Miami isn’t just the places — it’s the people. The skaters, runners, small-business owners, artists, police chiefs, athletes, musicians, and everyday community members we interact with constantly. They’re the ones who make Miami worth showing off.

That’s the Miami we’d want anyone to experience — the one we’ve seen up close, the one we help represent every day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. Our journey with Dimelo305 has never been a solo effort, and we’re the first to acknowledge that everything we’ve built comes from the support and belief of the people around us.

First, our biggest shoutout goes to the Miami community. They trusted us from day one — they opened their doors, shared their stories, showed up to our events, and allowed us to represent the city’s voice in an authentic way. Every milestone we’ve reached is tied to the people who support, follow, and stand with us.

We also want to recognize our families and close friends. Their encouragement, patience, and belief in our vision gave us the strength to keep going through the long nights, the challenges, and the learning curves.

And, of course, our Dimelo305 team deserves major credit. Everything we create — from content to community events — comes from a collective effort. We grow because we push each other, support each other, and show up for the mission together.

There have also been mentors, creators, and leaders who inspired us to stay original, think bigger, and stay aligned with our purpose. Their influence helped shape the direction of what Dimelo305 has become.

So our shoutout goes to all of them — the community that fuels us, the people who believed in us, and the team that builds with us every step of the way. They are the reason this story exists.
