We had the good fortune of connecting with GiaRose Children’s Fashion www.giarosechildren.com and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi GiaRose Children’s Fashion, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
GiaRose Children’s Fashion: A Passion Project Launched During Lockdown
GiaRose was born out of two things: my passion for fashion and the love for my children (Gianluca & Alessia Rose).
With more time on my hands to reflect during the pandemic on what I wanted from my career I deceided to take on a part-time passion that can hopefully grow into a full-fledged business.
As a seasoned corporate brand marketer mostly in the beauty field, I have attended New York and London Fashion Week, I have always had a knack for fashion but after having my kids that obsession transfered to them, and dressing them.
During quarantine, eventhough I was working from home I would find myself alot of weekends looking online for children’s clothes, dreaming of all the events and birthday parties that would be ahead of us on a brighter note when the pandemic is over. When then realized the lack of international brand representation in the children’s fashion space, and the unique opportunity that presented.
I started connecting with international clothing distributors so far we have Spain and Italy, and looking at what designers they have that I can introduce in South Florida. Not only do their one-of-a-kind designs stand out but also the quality as many of the articles I carry in the store are made from 100% cotton. We also carry a bit of luxe, with brands such as Armani, Karl Lagerfeld and John Galiano for kids.
Starting a brand from scratch is never easy, and it is even harder when you are doing aside from two full-time jobs (Marketing Exec and MOM). But my goal is to grow it from the heart, have fun with it and hope that feeling translates in everything we do. I want to keep it boutique-niche so that every piece is hand-picked, and is as unique and special as every child that wears it.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes – Meals2You Provides home cooked meals for me and my family for the past 5 years and they are incredible. 🙂
