Meet Gina Tomasetti: Life Coach & Creative Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Tomasetti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
This is such a good one, and close to my heart. I would say definitely acknowledging those who support and contribute to my brand and my business is what has made me successful. Although the business has my name on it, the most important lesson I’ve learned is that there is nothing in life that we do alone. I am proud of the impact that life coaching and personal development has on my community, my clients, and all of us who are involved in the work. But honestly, I am even more proud of the effort and care that goes into creating sessions, products, branding, connections, and everything else needed to keep the engine running. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the shining stars next to me who cheer me on, help me brainstorm, hold me high, and support me in countless ways. The commitment that we have as a team is what generates success. At the end of the day, I am successful because I am loved and supported by so many other powerful, wise souls. Because of this mutual respect and acknowledgment, I am always successful, regardless of any outcome.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Mindful items are amongst the most exciting and useful new creations we’re currently designing. I’m currently producing several relatable, fun, and meaningful decks, kits, and products (virtual and physical) that can be enjoyed by all. Whether you want to level up your self-care routine or you just need a visual tool to pinpoint your emotions, my commitment is to support you with fulfilling and unique go-to items. My heart is in the work of providing more accessible and simple ways for all of us humans to take small, impactful steps toward our most fulfilling lives, every day.
What I am most proud of is the welcoming and accepting nature of my brand and my coaching practice. Often, personal development can be daunting to those who haven’t experienced anything like it before. There’s a big gap between those who are very much into “the work” and those who have never tried it/are turned off by it. My goal and my purpose is to close that gap and invite everyone into the wellness and coaching space, because here, everyone belongs. Whether you coach with me 3x/week or not at all, you are worthy of resources and practices that support you in creating your dream life and experiences!
It definitely wasn’t easy to get where I am today. The no’s I received, the rejection, and the losses are what ultimately shaped my choice to branch out on my own and believe in myself. I am most excited about what’s next! Although I love one on one coaching and will continue to have that as part of my practice, in upcoming months I will also be launching 6-week programs (fun reads, simple and meaningful practices, coaching, celebrations, etc.) on intimacy, forgiveness, and more (it’s a surprise!). I am also working on branding and creating a community of free-feeling and free-thinking humans committed to connection and vulnerability. The vision is to be able to share about life’s little trip-ups and hiccups, how we rise above them, that we are not alone, and we always have the choice to come back to love. Stay tuned!
I want to share that my story may not look exactly like yours, we have had different pains and experiences, we are different ages and genders, but at the core we are all human. I see you and you see me on the deepest level when we can get present enough to share that. This work is for everyone, and there is no right or wrong way to begin. I aim to be present, connected, loving, compassionate, and open as a coach. Some call me a professional hand-holder, and that’s exactly how I want my clients to feel.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my BFF was visiting from afar, I would take them on the boat first! We would go snorkeling or scuba diving in Biscayne Bay on the coral reefs, and catch the perfect sunset. If the weekend was coming up, the next stop would have to be a drag show brunch in Miami Beach – no explanation necessary! It’s epic. Long bike rides through Coconut Grove would definitely be in there, and dinner at Hillstone or Jaguar would be next. Heading down south to Deering Estate is the best place to see the sunrise and experience the stillness that does actually exist in Miami! Hopefully there is an open-air spot to dance too, because Miami offers some of the best electronic music and nightlife that there is. Mostly though, I would be excited to spend quality time together with homemade food and tons of picnics around the beautiful parks we have.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is awesome, because the question I chose to answer earlier was about acknowledgment. I believe that acknowledgment is the lifeblood of a successful business. Other people contribute in countless ways, every step of the way. The love and encouragement of my whole family, and particularly my parents, has always been a gift. From a young age, my dad believed I would be a life coach when I grew up, and here I am now! My mom is the epitome of love and kindness, and believes in me no matter what path I take. They are the greatest contributors to my success and joy in the work that I do.
Vivian Belzaguy (Ascendance Sustainable Events) was an enormous motivator and mentor for me launching my own business and guiding me through the process. Maylise Urrutia (Maylise Moves You) is one of the most creative entrepreneurs of our generation, thoughtful embodiment coach, and my favorite brainstorming partner. Milena Mikic is a wizard of design, branding, and all things user experience. I am so grateful and lucky to have her on my team. Alicia Hugh (founder of the Hive Collective) has dreamed up the most epic group of super-ladies to hold each other accountable for their big dreams/careers, and I’m honored to be a part of it. Finally, there’s Francesca Aquino, who is a shining example of a powerful woman whose successful international career and unstoppable drive is as much a part of her as her kind, soft, supportive spirit. I am forever thankful for these authentic, dedicated people in my space, and countless others. I am also grateful for all of the closed doors, the people I wanted to believe in me most who said I would never succeed on my own, and my own doubts and “failures.” They all led me to exactly where I am meant to be. My perfect path was not paved without hiccups and some falls, and the lows are as rich as the highs. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the pain that has led to now. Without that, my joy and my success wouldn’t exist and continue to expand every single day.
