We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle Loor Sugerman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giselle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We had been working for years for a large interior design firm- a very corporate setting where I initially met Brett. We found ourselves limited by their restrictions on how they wanted us to do business. We felt stifled in our creative process and wanted to give our clients a more personalized bespoke experience. I was excited to create our own brand that represents what we stand for.

What should our readers know about your business?
B+G Design, Inc. is an award-winning Miami-based interior design firm founded by Brett Sugerman and Giselle Loor Sugerman. The
highly sought-after luxury design firm is recognized for their
innovative bespoke interiors that exude their signature aesthetic
combining functional minimalism with a warm contemporary appeal.

We are excited to be the recent recipients of the Luxe Magazine Red awards and having our home featured in Casa Vogue Brazil, Wall Street Journal and Florida Design this year.

A lot of hard work, determination, love and consistency got us to where we are today. I believe the key is when things get hard never lose sight of your goal and stay consistent. True growth happens when you conquer those challenges.

I feel fortunate to have built our business with my husband and partner. When I was picking up the kids from school he would carry the load at work. Being able to divide and conquer has been our mind set in work and in our marriage.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Faena and have dinner at Pao, and catch a show at their theater Tryst Cabaret, their spa is great too!

The Surf Club – Friday nights they have live music. Hang out at the bar. The Surf Club Restaurant is one of our favorites.
The Four Season Spa is one of the best in town.

Brickell City Center is great for shopping, dining, and catching a movie.
