We had the good fortune of connecting with GREG MANNION and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi GREG, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
That things should be done in a set way!

I’ve seen many businesses and ideas that can be very singular in there formulas. I believe that everything is created in the moment and if we understand the principles of something then we can use that as a base to create our own way…Our own form of giving in the that moment or of developing your ideas to fit your audience, which will always be the people you attract because of YOU. It’s in our hands to create how we want & what we want, not in the name of others ideas or business models.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Everything we do that comes from a place of creativity is ART, whether we call it that or not.

From the first day i wanted the workshops i was giving to be fun, creative & highly energizing. As i saw this was lacking from so many workshops/practices and it suited need/desire for connection too. Connection is the opposite of addiction (i’m a recovered alcoholic) and i believe any workshop should involve group connection & at moments high energy, helping us break our patterns, listen to each other and share more. From my own process of recovery i learned these things were very important and vulnerability is key to growth, it helps us is so many ways that are rarely acknowledged.

My mission is to make breathwork & meditation an enjoyable (not too spiritually special) practice that we can create from, learn from & connect to, anytime anywhere.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would go to the busy streets of the city i’m in Barcelona, to experience the vibe & life here. Then walk in the mountains nearby to view the busy city from above while in peace and quite.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My feeling with breathwork & meditation is that it’s so intrinsically intertwined with “Creativity, Energy & Vision”. Meaning that we really do have the ability to create our own stories, beliefs & futures without needing to be a Guru.

There are 2 people and 1 book that made a lasting impact on my way of doing/creating without the dogma and specialnes that can get in the way of a some of the so called – spiritual practices.

Firstly – David lynch (director & transcendental meditation ambassador).

When i saw his documentary on TM (transcendental meditation) i saw a person explain things in a creative yet simple way without being high and mighty about it, he was just concise, informative and AUTHENTIC. This appealed to me straight away and helped me approach the subject of meditation without judgement. It was his character that introduced me to the benefits & possibilities, and for that in grateful.

Secondly – Wim Hof (Iceman & founder of the wim hof breathing method).

It was when i first experienced a large workshop with Wim in Barcelona Spain that i had the feeling i could & wanted to share this WAY of feeling amazing using the breath with many many people. Again his authentic approach appealed to me and helped me realise its open to everyone, regardless of age or experience.

Thirdly – The book “The power of your subconscious mind” by joseph murphy

I received this book a few years before i found breathwork. I realised the power we have to create our own lives with this powerful yet simple book. We are living in habitual patterns run by our subconscious and if we are to ever break the habit of our behaviours and thoughts we need to at least understand that we can “change our own minds” if we are aware of the patterns first.
