We had the good fortune of connecting with Grey Street and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Lets start big picture – what inspires you?
We all probably got into music because of Guitar Hero and other rhythm games of the time, which subsequently, led us to learn how to play real instruments and write music.
Tell us more about your band, what can you share with our community?
We don’t limit ourselves to one genre, we like to break out of our comfort zone and just make good music. We’re excited about our upcoming album because it’s going to allow us to delve into other genres that we had not yet explored before. One of the ways we’ve seen steady growth is through social networking. It wasn’t necessarily hard but you do have to be patient and persistent. We just want to impact the world by sharing our music and making people feel something, whether it’s one person or 1 million people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Naomi’s Garden has awesome local bands playing all the time, as well as some really good food. Bar Nancy is another one of these awesome joints where you can hear some local music and get some good drink in you. Lincoln’s Beard, Unseen Creatures, and Spanish Marie are awesome breweries that we usually frequent for good beer and occasional karaoke.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We wanna give a shoutout to our families for supporting our music and music endeavors, buying music equipment in our younger years, and encouraging the growth of our creative abilities.
