We had the good fortune of connecting with Hajnalka (Hana) Konyher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hajnalka (Hana), we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was 6 years old, when they diagnosed with scoliosis and I started some physical therapy but it was not really helping. When I turned 14 years old they wanted me to have the spinal surgery. Luckily my parents didn’t let me do it. Over the years I grew up and tried to find some solution and different exercises .I decided to go to mat yoga and I really liked it and I saw the trapeze in a newspaper, and I knew this is what will help me to heal my spine. My husband surprised me with one for my birthday 10 years ago. I started to practice at home then I realized I like to know more about it .I finished the trainings and became an instructor in 2017. The beginning of this year I decided to have my own studio.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Yoga Trapeze is a very exciting experience. I’m teaching beginners and advanced classes as well. Could be a very intense exercise and gives you a peace of mind, what we are all looking for in the daily bases. The Yoga Trapeze is a therapeutic inversion device, which helps to heal sciatica and relive back pain. When the body is in an inverted position for 3 minutes or longer, most space opens up between each vertebrae. It is amazing to build a strong core and healthy back. It is strengthens and stretches your whole body, shoulders and arms. I’m excited to build a healthy community and share my space with other instructors. I can proudly say we already have meditation classes, conscious movements, cacao ceremonies, juggling practices and other spiritual gatherings.
The hardest part of this journey was to overcome my fear to keep up with my dreams in this physical realm.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My most sacred place for me is the ocean and the beach and I love to be in the nature, so I would take them there as much as possible.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all my husband and my children who are my biggest supporters. All my present and future students . I also like to thank Tom, all my friends donated on the Go Fund Me and made my dream come true.
