We had the good fortune of connecting with Hanssy Romero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hanssy, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Connection. Connecting with my clients and just people overall. Being able to create such beautiful bonds with them makes me happy. You just never know the impact you have made on someone or vice versa. Being a friend, an aide, a smile IS sometimes that’s all a person needs.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am proud of where I am currently and am excited to see where I go. I know that wherever or whatever that is, it’ll be amazing and filled with so much growth and beautifulness!
It’s been a long journey believe it or not. I was actually working and going to school full time while I ran my business part time in a small space in my apartment. Quitting my job full time and taking a leap of faith, I took my business full time. With no knowledge of how to run a business professionally, I did all the research I could and jumped right in with excitement and fear at the same time. I felt like it was right thing to do and it’s been, honestly, the best decision I could have made.
It was definitely not easy and it still isn’t, I don’t know if it ever will be? challenges will forever be faced but the key to that is to face them. Power through the obstacles. Stay optimistic even when you don’t feel it. When I am faced with a challenge I always remind myself to take a few step backs and remember how “it could always be worse” with that mindset I learn to view those challenges as new opportunities to grow.
One of the lessons I learned was, putting both myself and my business first. I learned early on that you cannot always bend over backwards for people in your business, especially those who are labeled as “friends. If your friends are true supporters of your business then they’ll pay the price, not ask for discounts. if anything, they’ll pay you more to show you they support you. Learning to put my business first and not allowing titles to affect my business has attracted the right clients. Not all friends are clients but all clients have the opportunity to mold into friendships.
You get to see the true colors of certain individuals when it comes to standing up and putting your business first.
that I am ME, unapologetically authentically ME. I am a woman who believed in herself, who is a resilient person who has made it through tough times, remaining optimistic in life, living this life with full gratitude, always.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Boynton Beach inlet is my happy escape. Whether it’s grabbing lunch or dinner by/on the water. From Kayaking to jet skiing, parks, escape rooms. To visiting Clematis, Flagler driver, Palm Beach island.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout would go to my close friends, family, partner and client’s. I would not be where I am without the love and support from them, they have made this possible for me and am super appreciative & blessed to have each and every single one of them in my life.
