We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawn Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shawn, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Hardbodyy is its purpose. The brand was a vision that my brother Tysean had before he was killed. Our goal is to ensure that Hardbodyy will one day become one of the biggest legacy and motivational brands in the world. The immense love for Tysean has fueled the brand’s growth.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Personally, I am a publicist and known entrepreneur. I am the co-founder and CEO of Lipstickroyalty Agency Inc. and now the Co-founder of Hardbodyy By Tysean J. Nelson. Through my own endeavors, I’ve been able to create a platform that has helped me in regard to pushing Hardbodyy. What I want the world to always remember when it comes to Hardbodyy is that fortunately, Tysean left me with designs and a vision to carry out Hardbodyy despite his untimely passing but it is HIS brand. I truly believe we are lucky for having a piece of him that can live on forever. As an inclusive motivational brand, we hope to inspire the masses.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami has so many great gems! Some of my favorites include restaurant experiences like R HOUSE in Wynwood, Calle 23, Little Greenhouse Grill, and Red Rooster to name a few. I would always suggest visiting locations like Calle Ocho, and South Point and exploring fun places like Parrot Jungle Island and Zoo Miami. From Brickell to Homestead there are so many nice experiences that go unnoticed.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to Tysean J. Nelson, my 19-year-old brother who was the visionary behind this brand. He was killed on June 30th, 2021 and we’ve been awaiting justice since then. Tysean was a beloved athlete ad scholar who was known for his selflessness. This is for him, this is dedicated to his mother, our father, and his new 1-year-old baby. Through Hardbodyy we hope to keep his memory alive and continue his legacy.
