Hi Hassan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
An interesting facet of my entrepreneurial journey is that I built my company right from the heart of tropical Miami, with the initial spark of inspiration coming to me from the serene ambiance of
my personal involvement in building the business website right from my pool area back in 2018.
Hello, I’m Hassan Sleiman, the CEO and Chief Design Innovation Officer of inStyle Coated
Fabric Solutions, LLC. We specialize in supplying luxury, eco-friendly, and sustainable faux
leather and fabric solutions for various industries, including cruise lines, river cruises, yachts,
OEM/Aftermarket automotive, hospitality, aircraft seating, healthcare, and contract furniture for
both interior and exterior seating applications, encompassing RVs, residential, and commercial

My journey is one marked by innovation and a steadfast commitment to high-end sustainability
eco-friendly in faux leather and fabric, ignited by a profound passion for formulation material
science and the design composite of faux leather. My educational journey, which includes a
Bachelor’s degree in Plastic & Polymer Engineering, a Master’s degree in Medical Devices and
Intellectual Properties, an Associate’s degree in Engineering and Science, and a Bachelor’s
degree in Business, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection
between technology, materials, and business strategy.
With nearly two decades of industry expertise in faux leather and polymer science, I have been
armed with diverse background roles in product development engineer, formulation scientist
engineering, and design management involves navigating the intricacies of fabrication, ensuring
quality control, and implementing innovative manufacturing techniques. This extensive hands-on
experience has been instrumental in shaping my journey towards founding and leading inStyle
Coated Fabric Solutions. My expertise in formulation scientist engineering seamlessly integrates
with my passion for material science and design, emphasizing a commitment to innovation and
sustainability.
Combining my academic background and with my practical experience, I’ve cultivated a unique
skill set. Armed with the knowledge gained from formulating faux leather materials to
overseeing product development, this fusion positions inStyle Coated Fabric Solutions as a
trailblazer in providing sustainable eco-friendly solutions. Our clear mission is to supply high-
end sustainable faux leather and fabrics to various industries as a leader in delivering innovative,
sustainable solution products at the intersection of design, material science, and environmental
responsibility.
 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I launched inStyle Coated Fabric Solutions back in 2018, I wore many hats, managing a spectrum of roles within the business. From acting as an accountant one day to assuming the
responsibilities of a lawyer, marketer, salesperson, designer, and product developer on others, I
navigated and immersed myself in every aspect of the business operations.
As the business has evolved, my role has shifted from the day-to-day operations to a focus and
consistently involved extensive engagement in sales activities on finding new opportunities
within the seating market and actively working to expand our business. I have been directly
involved in cultivating relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and

providing tailored solutions within the upholstery seating market. This ongoing commitment
ensures that inStyle Coated Fabric Solutions not only maintains its versatility and commitment to
excellence but also remains at the forefront of innovation, poised for continued growth and
success in the dynamic of sustainability eco-friendly seating market.
Furthermore, in 2020, I took a significant step forward by launching a comprehensive warehouse
in Hollywood, Florida with hundreds of colors. This initiative aimed to provide extensive options
and support to our clients within the maritime, automotive, healthcare, contract furniture,
commercial and residential seating markets. The diverse color palette ensures that our clients
have a broad spectrum of choices, reinforcing our dedication to meeting their specific
requirements and enhancing the aesthetic possibilities across various industries. To facilitate the
selection process, we created professional color card sample books for our products, empowering
designers with a tangible and visual resource to choose the perfect colors for their projects.
My knowledge within faux leather and fabric has played a crucial role in accelerating the growth
of my business. Understanding the intricacies of these materials and their performance
characteristics has allowed me to not only excel in sales but also to confidently assist and educate
my customers. Many customers have shared stories of their satisfaction, expressing that my
engagement goes beyond that of a typical salesperson. They appreciate the depth of my
engineering knowledge, making them feel that I am a valuable resource who can not only sell but
also guide and educate them effectively. This dynamic interaction not only enhances our
offerings and delivering high-quality sustainable ecofriendly faux leather and fabrics but also
fosters a synergistic relationship between inStyle Coated Fabric Solutions and the design
community.
Amidst these endeavors, I find immense satisfaction in making a positive impact on the
environment by providing sustainable eco-friendly faux leather and fabrics. Witnessing our
products being embraced by prominent players in various industries, including big-name cruise
lines such as Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Discovery Princess, Ruby Cruise,
Aida Cruise, Cunard Cruise, Princess Cruise, Holland America Cruise, NCL, and others yachts,
boats for new build and refurbishment seating projects, is particularly gratifying. Additionally,
our products have gained recognition in the automotive industry, where they are featured in
prominent vehicles such as the electric new Hummer SUV, Branco, Jeep Wrangler, RV and other
reupholstery vehicles. Furthermore, our offerings have found a place in numerous hotels in South
Beach and residential in Sunny Isles beach, Miami, as well as in restaurants and cigar bar
lounges across the USA.
Beyond these sectors, we extend our commitment to sustainable solutions to the healthcare
industry, particularly in the field of physical therapy. We collaborate with healthcare companies,
providing sustainable and eco-friendly faux leather for seat cushions. These cushions serve a
crucial role in physical therapy sessions, offering comfort and support to individuals dealing with
back pain, muscle, and joint discomfort. Additionally, our travel cushions cater to those battling
lower back issues, providing a portable and ergonomic solution for on-the-go relief. This
expansion into healthcare underscores our dedication to creating products that enhance well-
being and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world. Notably, our warehouse is

strategically located in Hollywood, Florida, ensuring efficient distribution and accessibility for
our valued clients.
Moreover, I actively contribute to the creative process by assisting clients in developing color
matching to match their master color and creating new color schemes for their projects. This
collaborative effort ensures that the fabrics and faux leathers we provide align seamlessly with
their design visions. The ability to offer this level of expertise further solidifies the perception
that I am not just a salesperson but a dedicated partner invested in the success of their projects.
This commitment to collaboration and education has become a hallmark of inStyle Coated Fabric
Solutions, fostering enduring relationships with our clients and setting us apart in the market.
In response to COVID-19, I worked closely with designers and customers to address, evaluate,
and solve issues related to materials important to their specific needs, such as stain resistance,
antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, cleaning agents, and resistance to abrasion. Our
manufacturing partner also collaborates closely with our company to implement effective
solutions for upholstery affected by the pandemic. This proactive approach reflects our
commitment to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients and the industry, ensuring that inStyle
Coated Fabric Solutions remains at the forefront of innovation and responsiveness in challenging
times.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend were visiting, I’d ensure they dive into the allure of Miami’s exotic car scene. We’d make a stop at Prestige Imports Dealership promises a “wow” moment with stunning models
Picture this – the Aventador’ sleek lines, the Huracan’s cutting-edge design, the Huracan EVO’s
futuristic features, and the commanding presence of the Urus. But the spectacle doesn’t stop
there. Alongside a treasure trove of high-end exotic and prestigious brands including Pagani,
Ferraris, Bentleys, Porsches, Rolls Royces, and even a Bugatti. It’s an essential Miami
experience, blending the city’s vibrant energy with the epitome of automotive luxury.
As we explore Miami’s architectural wonders, we’d marvel at high-rise masterpieces in Sunny
Isles Beach, including iconic buildings like Porsche Design Tower, Aqualina Resort, Turnberry
Ocean Club in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami, and Aston Martin Residences in Brickell. The skyline
showcases modern and stylish structures contributing to Miami’s distinct charm.
For a dining experience unlike any other, we’d head to Sexy Fish, arguably Miami’s most
extravagant restaurant. Its underwater-themed ambiance, adorned with sculptures by Damien
Hirst, features massive mermaid statues and a colossal fish tank showcasing live coral and
vibrant tropical fish. Dining inside this uniquely designed underwater world would be an
unforgettable experience for my friend, adding a touch of luxury and artistry to our Miami
exploration. For a touch of vibrant luxury, we’d also explore Faena Restaurant, adorned in red
and blue hues perfectly mirroring the Atlantic outside. The décor, featuring animal print
ottomans, seashell jewelry boxes, and beautiful red velvet touches, adds fantastic details to this
uniquely designed space. It’s a dining experience that goes beyond the plate, offering an artistic
feast for the senses in the heart of Miami’s cultural scene. For a taste of Miami’s diverse flavors, we’d explore Versailles Restaurant, an iconic Cuban eatery, and continue to Coyo Taco for
authentic Mexican street food. These multicultural dining experiences would add layers of flavor
to our exploration, showcasing Miami’s rich tapestry of international cuisines. And let’s not
forget the cultural richness of Miami, especially during events like Art Basel, where the city
transforms into a vibrant canvas of artistic expression, showcasing a myriad of contemporary
artworks from around the world.
And, of course, no visit to Miami is complete without basking in the sun on one of the world’s
most famous beaches. I’d lead them to the sandy shores of South Miami and Fort Lauderdale
beaches where the vibrant energy and crystal-clear waters encapsulate the essence of Miami’s
beach scene. Each stretch of shoreline offers a unique beach experience.
For a taste of opulence on the water, we’d explore the world of luxury speed boats like Cigarette
Racing, VanDutch, Midnight Express, and more, known for their sleek and stylish design. To
further indulge in the extravagance of nautical living, we’d venture to the Luxury Yacht and Boat
Show, where the grandeur of the world’s most extravagant vessels takes center stage. Perhaps, we
might even plan a visit to the largest boat and yacht show globally, immersing ourselves in the
opulence of the maritime world.
