Hi Heather, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“The key to happiness is a good sense of humor and a bad memory ” I’m not sure who said it but this quote means so much to me because I was a teenager when I first read it, it was in a pizzeria in my childhood neighborhood in Bushwick, Brooklyn New York. When I first read that quote painted on the wall, I had no clue it would impact me the way it did as I look back now that I’m a grown woman. I still at times struggle with procrastinating and standing in my own way. I’ve spent time in the past dwelling over the fact that I should be much further down my path, like the things I’m accomplishing now should of been accomplished a while ago. Sometimes we spend so much time dwelling on the things that didn’t happen instead of appreciating our blood sweat and tears, it took to get where you are now. Being able to say I DID THAT! I did it scared, I did it broke and not knowing how but I kept faith and disciplined to stay focused. Every time I read it, I feel it more. Since I was a teen, I fell, got up and pushed through! I don’t dwell no more on what didn’t happen because I’m too focused and happy about what’s to come!! That’s why I love this quote!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The most I can say I am proud of was having the guts to do what I said I would do. Most people don’t stand on what they say they’ll do, let alone have the guts to go for it. I DID THAT! My brand is me it’s fun, it’s creative it’s sexy it’s about being whoever you want to be and looking how you want to look! Pynkhouse my brand is all me! I LOVE PINK! and the house is from everyone wanting to come to my house and raid my closet full of fun, Sass and creativity!! Everything on my site is exactly what I would wear and I’m not done yet my wigs are coming! Hair services and beauty services are coming. I’m excited to bring it all to life. I am where I am today business wise by educating myself and putting myself out there. Learning from other small business owners and entrepreneurs has helped me and still helps a lot today. You literally have to get out there with those people that have those same dreams as you! It’s the only way it will work. Overcoming my challenges were never easy being a single parent and juggling motherhood, a business, a degree and certificate in cosmetology. I’ve learned to stay patient and work on things one at a time instead of trying to put my energy into it all at once. I had to make peace with patience and believe that it’s all going to work out because I’m getting everything done the right way doesn’t matter the order. I’m here for the long not the short. I just want people to know just because you wasn’t born with a silver spoon in your mouth, it means to settle, DONT SETTLE IF YOU WANT IT YOU COULD GET IT, SCARED MONEY DONT MAKE NO MONEY AND ALL YOU NEED IS YOUR VISION TO STAY TRUE TOO!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m originally from New York City baby! The concrete jungle! New York City is filled with tons of cool places and exhibits to experience! We have the edge in NYC with breath taking views of the city. FOOD YOU CAN FIND JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE! We have china town, little Italy, Hell’s Kitchen. Dumplings. Street tacos and ramen and halal all hit the spot! I always love Brooklyn where I’m authentically from there’s nothing like a bacon egg and cheese and a hood sandwich like the famous ham and cheese and chop cheese! It’s a must have experience !!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to say My son, my closest best friends and family. My life has been an adventure full of chaos and GROWTH, Unpredictability and resilience and I’m happy to have them there reminding me that I have support and I have love there that’s genuine and always from the best of places, they never let my crown slip!
