We had the good fortune of connecting with Heaven Rainwater a.k.a Rainn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Heaven, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Don’t give up. No matter how many kids you have no matter your age. If it’s in you do it. This is your life so don’t stop doing what you want to do for you to please someone else . And not to look for validation from those who grew up around you. Your best support comes from people who don’t know you ‼️
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me aside is I’m versatile with my music. I write about things I’ve lived and experienced.. mental abuse I’ve dealt with it. Physical abuse and domestic violence I been through that molestation and neglect I been through that. Heart break I been through it. Hood shit I lived it .. loses of friends from gangs and gun violence I’ve dealt with it . sad happy angry I’ve experienced it all so I can openly express it and know others world wide can connect and feel my pain as well .
Modeling I’ve always wanted to be on the big screen I’ve always loved the camera and music and fashion. Since becoming a mother I let my dreams go I gained weight and lost sight of myself but after a big break up I took time to go find me and begin to do things that made me happy and not everyone else around me . I began to work on my health and began to love myself again . Being a mother with stretch marks and cellulite we feel ugly and self conscious and begin to hate how we look and I want to help encourage women to love themselves selfs within becuase if you don’t love yourself first how could you think someone else can love you when your supposed to love your self first.
I’m most proud of what landed me here . I took a big step and took my kids and I to a state with nobody but us. I bought my own items to build my own studio and things to take my own pictures because I knew with me not having any one here to support me and help me with my kids I wasn’t able to do all I wanted to do as far as photo shoots and studio time . I said to myself we gotta start somewhere and if I put in the work someone will notice me . I came too far ..
One thing I learned since a child during my first traumatic life experience is what don’t kill you only makes you stronger. So I always face that in any situation ..
in 2013 I went through another traumatic situation where I came up with a metaphor to help me through my hard times .. I call it C.T.P.A
Cry. Think. Plan. Act
I’d cry until I couldn’t no more look at myself in the mirror and say ok heaven that’s enough now shake this shit off and what is it you gotta do first so I thought about all I needed to do then I planed it all out and I wrote it in order from the most important thing first .. in order for me to do this I have to do this this n this first .. then once I wrote it out I acted on it and I tackled each thing until I was satisfied .. but something along the way I learned .. just because u make a little progress don’t mean to stop. Because when u do that ur stopping your growth . Your not meant to stop on no level . The point is to keep climbing reaching higher leveles . You can’t do that if you stop and get comfortable. It want not easy and I’m not where I want to be just yet BUT I’m further then where I was and I wouldn’t change none of it becuaee I learned as I got here and I cherish every bit of it ‼️
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well being I just moved to the broward Miami dade area I don’t know much about here lol Umm las olas for sure the hard rocks casino . Out to eat place haven’t tried many but I did like Flanagins lol I only been here a year so I haven’t got to explore much . I know a bomb ass park and splash pad though 😂 they have some nice yacht tours and stuff in Miami
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First it would be god for leading me to my craft . Him leading me to loving myself and following my heart to do what I love to do and not be scared because I was being judged . Also my children if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be as strong as I am to push through criticism. And my fans … they have been keeping me on my toes letting me know they support me and are tuned in with me and that means the most to me that I have people attention with what I love to do most
