We had the good fortune of connecting with Hillary Small and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hillary, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of The MedSpa Society has been going outside of my comfort zone. In 2023 my goal was to put myself out there and go for opportunities that would put me in front of the right audiences. In doing that I have been a featured speaker for some of the most notable organizations in the Medical Aesthetics field. It’s allowed me to make invaluable connections and build credibility that has catapulted my business in ways I could have never imagined.

What should our readers know about your business?
The MedSpa Society was started in January 2023 and we offer marketing and operations support and services to anyone looking to start OR who already runs a MedSpa business. MedSpa is the broad term, however we work with Aestheticians, MedSpas, Plastic Surgeons, Anti-aging and Wellness Clinics, IV Therapy Practices.

I am proud of our education-first approach, which has helped build an audience and credibility for us over the past year. What sets us apart from others is that we really care about our clients and are not in this business to just sell a service and move on to the next. Marketing companies tend to get a bad rap because there are so many out there who do not deliver on their promises. We’re here to change that and elevate marketing for the MedSpa industry through the education, resources and services that we offer.

In fall/winter 2023 we are launching an industry-changing service that will make having an on-brand, optimized Website accessible for everyone. Our Website templates have been architected and built by the same team that develops our fully custom sites that start at $15,000, and they will be available along with a robust training course and resources on how to launch for under $1,000. I am extremely excited and proud of what we’ve created.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t go out much these days, but I do enjoy great food and coffee. Here are some of my top recommendations:

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has always encouraged me to go after my dreams and ideas. My husband has shown me that it’s ok to take risks as he has always been an entrepreneur. He has supported every one of my ideas no matter how crazy he thought they were!
