We had the good fortune of connecting with Humberto Barroso and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Humberto, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal would be to achieve financial freedom. Easier said than done. I believe in working hard I will one day achieve a position of Sales Manager or Sales Director in which I will be able to guide a team. I love the idea of having a group of people to motivate and drive them in order for them to achieve their dreams.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My career choice came at a weird time for me. As I was graduating college the Covid-19 pandemic came around. At a time with the world at a stand still and not very many places hiring, I was out searching for a job. At the same time a buddy of mine had join the industry and recommended it to me. One thing lead to another and I found myself doing mortgages. At first I was driven by the big pay checks and nice offices but after a while it became more about the honest connections you made with people and being able to help others actually achieve their dreams. It is a very rewarding industry if done correctly.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite part of Miami will forever and always be the Pinecrest/Coral Gables area. I find driving through old cutler road to be one of the most amazing, peaceful, and beautiful locations all of Miami has to offer. Food wise you MUST try Osaka in Brickell.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
While it may be cliché my shoutout is to my wonderful girlfriend. Without her being by my side and pushing me to be the best version of myself, I strongly doubt I would have been able to achieve everything I have.
