Meet Hydeeah “Notcommon” Johnson | Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hydeeah “Notcommon” Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hydeeah “Notcommon”, how do you think about risk?
I think you can’t truly succeed in life without risk. The sacrifice is needed but when you know it’s the right choice you will feel it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I don’t believe it was easy getting to where I’m at and I really don’t think it’ll ever be easy. It might get much easier. Thinking about the future is how I overcome much of the challenges that get thrown my way, it’s just another part of the journey that make it feel worth it. I learned so many lessons thus far but one of the the most important one was defiantly communication. It can save a lot. I honestly feel like my story is still being written lol I need a happy ending.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would say CrabsOnTheeWay if your into seafood boils, Healthy Hippy if you want some Vegan food and Taylor Peighton if you want to go chill at a lounge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It’s a few artist that I made some of my greatest work with that I would love to shoutout. Shaq Woods, Allstarrdagreat, Matti Mula, and Juicy Jas. It’s also a few photographers and directors I would like to shoutout as well who work inspires me Elianel Clinton, Adam Smith, and Uniqueeex, and WhotheWizz. Please check them out.
