We had the good fortune of connecting with Imari Golden Wade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Imari, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always been a risk taker.. I was the child that had to feel in order to learn. Lol. But once I got older I realized all those risk I choose to take as a child made it much easier for me as an adult. Same strategies, just more meaningful situations. Like survival. You gotta take risk if you want to survive in any atmosphere!!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a female hip-hop artist from the island of Bermuda, where many talented musical artists are very unnoticed due to the small population. My creative approach to writing and delivering my own material has always been a strength within my presence in and around the music scene. After achieving many local milestones, I decided that in order for me to go further, I must focus on me instead of the circumstances. This allowed me to take a bigger risk and accomplish more goals. Was it easy? No. Nor is it at the moment, but I love to believe it will be all worth it someday! Following your dreams comes with lots. The good and the bad. Haters, self-doubt, lack of support, closed doors, and life situations in general. But you have to position yourself mentally to take the journey. You gotta whilst going through all of this remain self-confident, motivated, disciplined, pray, and believe anything is possible. I rebranded my representation in October 2021. Not just to show evolution but to take the opportunity to affiliate every and anything in relation to music coming from myself with my logo whilst delivering a clear depiction of the vision behind it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
