Meet Irina Rulkova

We had the good fortune of connecting with Irina Rulkova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Irina, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business while working in a salon. I noticed that many people struggled with serious skin problems on their feet , corns, deep cracks, calluses, and infections but couldn’t find safe, effective help. That inspired me to dive deeper into this field.
I studied at several professional schools, learned from different countries, and combined the best techniques into my own method Russian Advanced Pedicure. It’s focused not just on beauty, but on real care, hygiene, and long-term results.
Opening my own business was a way to fully realize my dream: to help people, work with people, and feel that what I do truly makes a difference in someone’s life.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a nail studio where I specialize in Russian Advanced Pedicure a technique I developed by combining knowledge from top European schools with strict medical hygiene standards and high-quality cosmetic products.
What sets my work apart is that it’s not just about beauty. I focus on helping people with real foot problems: cracked heels, corns, deep calluses, ingrown nails, and damaged skin. My mission is to bring comfort, confidence, and long-lasting results to every person I work with.
I’m especially proud that I’ve created a clean, safe, and welcoming space where people feel genuinely cared for. I use hospital-grade sterilization and professional cosmetics from Israel, and I always take an individual approach. Many of my clients tell me, “I’ve never experienced anything like this before,” and that feedback is the biggest reward for me.
The road wasn’t always easy. I began with strong motivation and a clear vision to help people. I didn’t have business connections or a marketing team, I had education, passion, and persistence. I trained internationally, worked long hours, and built a trusted reputation step by step. That’s what allowed my business to grow and succeed.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that quality and care matter more than trends. People always remember how you made them feel. I’ve built long-term relationships with clients based on trust, safety, and genuine results and this connection is what fuels my work every day.
What I want people to know is that my work is not just a pedicure. It’s about health, wellness, and self-respect. I help people walk without pain, feel better in their skin, and take time for themselves in a busy world. This is my way of contributing to people’s well-being and I believe it has real value.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, we’d start the day with a walk on Hollywood Beach and breakfast in Aventura. We’d explore Wynwood, grab coffee at Panther, and enjoy lunch at Coyo Taco.
I’d definitely invite her to my studio for a relaxing pedicure, then take her shopping at Aventura Mall or on a sunset boat ride.
One evening we’d go to Askaneli in Fort Lauderdale a Georgian restaurant with great food and live music. Perfect for a fun night out.
And of course, we’d end the trip with a cocktail by the ocean in South Beach. That’s how I’d show her the best of Miami.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of a few key people and experiences.
First, I want to dedicate my shoutout to every client who trusted me in the beginning, when I was still learning and growing. Their encouragement, kind words, and loyalty gave me the confidence to keep going, even when things were hard.
Second, I’m incredibly grateful to the educators and mentors from the pedicure and skincare schools I attended, especially those who inspired me to think deeper, combine techniques, and believe that health and beauty can go hand in hand.
And of course, my family, my child has always been my biggest motivation. Being a mother shaped my drive and made me want to build something meaningful and lasting.
My story is a mix of hard work and the love I received from others and I carry that love into my work every single day.
