Meet Isaac Castillo | Internationally Known DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Castillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isaac, what do you want your legacy to be?
A man who took his God-given talents and turned it into something astonishing. Whether it be thru music, film, or business ; I need to achieve a certain level of perfection. The average person’s legacy is their family that they leave behind after they are gone. As a single man, I don’t have that yet. But it’s coming. My heart is too big to deny myself of that forever.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Dj out of South Florida where there is many. However, I am a different breed because of the choices I made through out my professional and personal life. For example, when I decided to leave Florida and travel the world Djing on Carnival Cruise Lines for 6 years. This might have hurt my relationships with the local nightlife scene, but today almost 10 years after I am thriving. I think it is so because of everything I learned on ships regarding music diversity, inter-office professionalism, and customer relations. Nothing is ever easy. There is always challenges along the way. The biggest in my life was when I suffered nerve damage in my left ear, which I am struggling with today as we speak. It took about a year of physical and mental treatment, I learned one thing that you should know. God is Good. He will always have my back. All the things I don’t know today and could worry me, I will give it all to God. Tomorrow is another better and bright one, you’ll see.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami is culture. So downtown Miami area is a must. I grew up in Kendall and Sweetwater so it’s always a pleasure to go back and not have to use the GPS when I am back home. If it is a girl who I want to impress, then I will take her to Nikki Beach before it closes. That’s a shame.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shout out to the people most close to me. My family for believing in me when I was defeated. My peers like The Mix Kings Dj crew and Yung DLo an artist on the rise out of South Florida for helping achieve a great year 2023. Those who know me will agree that I would not be sitting here talking to you if it was not for my brother and business partner, Sergio Castillo. The world’s most popular cruise line, Carnival Cruise Line for helping me create such a strong work ethic.
