We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaiah Fernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaiah, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is always something I consider whenever I’m ready to make the next jump into my future. It’s like flipping a coin of faith, but I’m always certain that whatever happens I will make sure that it was worth it at the end of day. Taking risks has brought me to a very comfortable spot in my life right now, I’ve risked school, time, and family events in order to lay the foundation out for my future. It’s been very successful so far and I’m willing to take more risks in order to keep moving forward.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s very entitling to me to know that I’ve come from a very low point in my career to making a huge improvement and working on really big projects, I’m mostly excited about how far this is can continue and how many limits I can reach/surpass. I built my way up here slowly but surely and it took some trial and error, definitely a lot of sleepless nights but as I networked a lot and got more connections with bigger people it helped me get on my two feet by myself for sure. I want everyone to know that no matter the circumstances and where you are in life, there’s always some shed of light lingering around for you, all it takes is a push and the light will grow bigger for you to reach. Once you’re there, there’s no turning back.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like to hangout downtown whenever I have family or friends over, the beach is the main spot we can hit up and hangout for a little with a couple restaurants on the strip. I like to take them to very exclusive privately owned places that serve the best of the best food so that they can take that experience with them when they go back home. I also like to show a lot of the filming locations we’d go to often because they’re very aesthetic and cool to hangout at.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely like to shout-out the members in my film class while I was high school for pushing me to continue moving forward and grow as a film-maker. They all believed in me and my aspirations and told me to follow my dreams, little did I know how much of an impact that had on me later in my future.
