We had the good fortune of connecting with Isis Pierre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isis, what matters most to you?
I find trust and integrity to be a key value that should never be compromised. Everything we love should be rooted in trust. Trust and integrity are the foundation of many families, friendships, and even the success of businesses. Growing up, I was taught to always do things with the best of intentions and to help those who cannot help themselves, even when there is no one to witness. My most important values, trust and integrity not only applies to my relationships, but to my business as well. As a small business owner, I have a deep sense of appreciation for all the customers who spend their hard-earned money buying Earth Nutrients products. I have a responsibility to my brand, and I pledged to create more compassionate products for self-care. My mission is to deliver high-quality organic goodies that are eco-friendly and handcrafted with the highest intention. I aim for my customers to trust my brand and to trust my products.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, I am a graduate student studying public policy and public administration at the University of Central Florida. I have always been an advocate in finding ways to bring more sustainability to low-income communities, so I am using my years in academia to strengthen my understanding of government processes to form healthier communities. As of right now, I am most proud of becoming a Legislative Scholar, where I am working for a State Senator, learning about the governance process in the state of Florida. I find my career choice to be quite exciting but also goal-driven in finding solutions, especially during the times of COVID-19. To get where I am today, it took persistence in going after my short and long-term goals, ignoring the idea of fear, and having a strong and loving support system.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good brunch! If my friends planned a trip to visit SoFlo, I would take them Tap 42. Their French toast and Chicken & Waffles are super tasty, and the bottomless mimosas are pretty popular. We will do a little shopping during the day at Sawgrass Mills before going to Wynwood in the evening. I love going to the beach on Sundays; Fort Lauderdale beach has some tasty local eateries along the strip and on a good day, live entertainment.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Major shoutout to my loving family for supporting me along the way and a Special shoutout to Black Girls Rising, a Women’s empowerment organization to inspire rising entrepreneurs.
