We had the good fortune of connecting with Ismary Santos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ismary, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As a mother of 2, deciding to quit my full-time job to pursue a path in entrepreneurship was one of the hardest decisions that I had to make. At the time of my career jump I was comfortably working for 7 years, a full time job for a great Medical Center, with even better employee benefits. But at some point in your life you have to wonder what it would be like to step outside your comfort zone, and so I did. More than one year later and I truly count my blessings.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ivue imaging is a diagnostic ultrasound mobile company that in plain, provide an ancillary service to acute medical offices and centers. What this means is we provide packages that include a registered medical sonographer, a state-of -the-art ultrasound machine, ultrasound related office such as bottle warmers for the comfort of patients, and a tele-radiology reading company to finalize all reports.

This is considered a triple bonus as now, instead of the patient having to go outside of their doctors office for ultrasounds, they can have the choice of keeping it in-house. The doctors love this due to our fast turn-around time of 24-48 hrs for all finalized reports and as a sonographer/business owner, my passion is to provide the absolute best care AND convenience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents. In taking the necessary steps to secure my envisioned future, it was my parents that helped without a question, every step of the way.
