We had the good fortune of connecting with Issa Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Issa, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Jersey Sponsor is a community and business platform for athletes. Our mission is to empower athletes with technology that grows with their career and equips them with the power to easily understand and leverage the unique opportunities they encounter at every stage. We’ve identified the common threads that connect athletes and and improved their ability to get sponsors and funding. We understand the greater impact sports have on society and especially the opportunities they create that are a realistic path to achieving the American Dream. In addition to the life skills and networking we’re increasing the opportunities for sports and erasing some of the pain points being suffered when it comes to making money and dealing with complicated compliance and legal matters that affect their eligibility. We’re changing the world because sports are global and the only consistently proven way to bring people from all backgrounds together and have them automatically work towards a common goal.

What should our readers know about your business?
We’ve created the technology to support athletes as they progress through their careers. We’ve created the infrastructure to support complex things like sponsorships and NCAA NIL (name, image, likeness) compliance. We’ve also created solutions for recruiting and fundraising too because these are things that help them reach their dreams but are also outdated and time consuming for student athletes. We also have created a networking component that has a social feel so even retired or recreational athletes can use the app just to keep up with former teammate, track their fitness goals or find a place to play pickup in a new city. Our mission is to increase athletic opportunities and collaboration and to provide necessary information to athletes to increase, balance and control their ability to make money using their audiences and likeness. Everything we do is in the best interest of athletes and our platform is completely free for them to use. Our objective is for all athletes to consider us a teammate and ally supporting them along their journeys.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’re going to a Heat game, we’re going to South Beach and to see the sand and I’ll have them stay at the Betsy Hotel. We’re going to Joia Beach for some vibes, and we’re hitting up Marion for a fun dinner. After that we’re going wherever the night takes us. I love Miami since you can have world class food, shopping, nightlife, sports, cultural, and recreational experiences and it’s all in once city. We also have fantastic year long weather. It’s one of the few places where you can truly have it all and see it all.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my success to the people who have chosen to believe in me. Starting with my wife Katya and her never tiring over my obsession with Jersey Sponsor and her investing her resources, time, and energy and being a sounding board every day and being the person who energizes me every weekend and keeps me ready to combat the adversity that comes naturally with creating a tech startup and also pursuing a vision that many people called crazy. We also have a great support system and team at Jersey Sponsor who dedicate their time and energy too, and having a team has given me even more energy and the responsibility to make sure the people who risked believing in us when it was easy not to can be proud that they did.
