Meet Ivonne Martinez | Real Estate Broker and Motivational Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ivonne Martinez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ivonne, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
It took me a while to discover the things that were truly important to me, in other words, my MUST”s to feel satisfied, happy and at peace. Once, I was able to discover it, then I built a schedule that would allow me to work on my business but without letting my career consume me. I love what I do but as a woman, I am more than my profession; I have hobbies that I like to cultivate, and thing I like to do that it does not involve Real Estate.

What should our readers know about your business?
PropertyDeco is a Boutique real estate firm and I use this term because we like to provide personal attention, good customer service. This is what sets us apart, not a sales company but a customer service enterprise. It is important we cater to the client and his/her needs. Sometimes, NOW is not the time for someone to buy or sell or invest but later. I think it is important to listen to clients, but it is also important to guide them while in the process of acquiring an asset, it makes a huge difference and saves time. The story behind my brand, PROPERTYDECO, is promoting South Florida as a beautiful place to live, among palms, great weather, it is without a doubt the dream city.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start with a traditional Cuban breakfast in Calle Ocho then walk towards Bay of Pigs Museum and the Domino Park. If you are in Miami, you need to stop by South Beach enjoy the sun for a few hours, then head back to Key Biscayne and maybe rent a couple of bicycles and go around Brickell and the downtown area. For lunch, I would probably take my friends to Coral Gables for a bite and then walk around the stores, maybe grab a drink, go to the Vizcaya Museum. Dinner time, somewhere in Wynwood, check the stores, the art galleries. Other key spots to visit while in Miami would be the Miami District Design area, the Perez Museum, Parrot Jungle and we cannot forget Bayside, such a staple in our city. We have such a dining diversity in Miami, but I would suggest restaurants in the area of Little Haiti and Kendall, a bit out of the traditional Brickell and Downtown areas.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Many people throughout my life. I think you meet people along the way that help you but if I had to recognize someone would be my stepfather. He has been a key person in my life; he has been that voice of wisdom in moments that I just did not know what to do. Greg, I dedicate this shoutout to you, thank you for being there and being such a good father figure for me and my siblings.
