We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaalen Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaalen, what makes you happy? Why?
Outside of traveling the world, being able to build life-lasting relationships and change lives through fitness is what keeps me happy on a daily basis. Knowing that I’m taking care of others, I know that I’ll always be taken care of in return when it’s needed most.
What should our readers know about your business?
Initially starting this business in January of 2020, things were manageable up until the pandemic occurred shutting down gyms, parks, and many other locations. Amidst the chaos, it essentially resulted in the loss of clients due to not having the proper infrastructure in place to transition my clientele to online.

Throughout this down period, it allowed me to reassess the business as a whole and to re-evaluate the value that I was providing my clients with. Being aware and open to knowing that the industry is always changing has helped tremendously in keeping the business growing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To start the week I’d take them to Wynwood to grab some food from a great Greek place called “Nostimos” and then to take a a walk around the area afterwards to checkout the scenery. On the flip side to switch things up we’d head over to Coconut Grove to hop on the paddle boards or kayaks to cruise around the Bay. To finish things off as the weekend nears, either Wynwood or Brickell would be the final destinations for some night bar crawls starting at different rooftop bars in the area. With Miami being a melting pot for cultures, everyday is a new adventure in a way.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the eforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Throughout the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to be blessed from many different aspects. During my time at the University of Miami I had a coach, Diego Flaquer, who played a major role in the success of building this business.

Not only was he my coach while competing at the University, he also served as a life mentor on a day to day basis.
