We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackson Strong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackson, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew I had something unique and valuable within me. I was tired of not living a life that echoed my truth, so I got to work creating a life and business I was proud of–that really reflected me.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is three-fold: 1) I’m the Co-Founder of AUREA, a live event and online membership platform dedicated to serving purpose-driven entrepreneurs and artists. 2) I’m the Co-Founder of Pursuit of Kings, a Miami-based men’s group seeing to restore the healthy masculine through monthly men’s circles and online gatherings. 3) I’m the Founder of Strong Growth Marketing, a marketing agency for purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d start off the morning with a pre-dawn walk to Legion Park for meditation by the water. Then breakfast at Jimmy’s Eastside Diner–it’s a total greasy spoon place and not very healthy, but it’s so good and a favorite indulgence for giant breakfasts and good conversations. After that, a mid-day work out at Legacy Fit along with ice bathing and a sauna, then dinner at Uptown 66 (another lowkey spot but an absolute favorite for tacos) then some live music at one of many great venues like Oasis.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this to the courageous and compassionate souls who have seen things in me that I could not, and gave their time and effort to bring them to the surface. It’s now my honor to serve others in sharing their gifts, getting to know their voice, becoming one with their truth. There are countless authors to thank, but the greatest is Steven Pressfield. His service to creative professionals cannot be measured, but it will echo through time immemorial.
