We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Franco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacqueline, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting your own business, whatever the type of business, the first thing is to define what you want? where do you want to go? And what to do to achieve that dream! The main thing is to know what you are good at and what you like to do. have your plan A, just a plan to fight and strive for it!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My magazine emerged in 2007 as a newspaper printed in a New Jersey county that was only dedicated to writing about sports. But over time we analyze that people like to read about entertainment and variety! At the beginning, when I started this challenge, I quit my job, I decided that I wanted to do what I like, which is to write and meet people, and with the magazine I could do it. Despite the lack of faith of my close people, I continued with my owner and at this moment we cover premiere movies, soccer game, concerts and more MORE! my life lesson is that nothing is impossible in life, and that your effort and faith in yourself lead you to get what you want and that the impossible became possible!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Usually I always have visits from friends and families, the first thing is to give you a warm welcome to my home, my Ranch House “La Mona y el Gringo” that’s what we call it! In my ranch I have the peace that I enjoy showing my visitors. In my home we have chickens, roosters, ducks, geese and goats. It is a place that breathes love and happiness. Then of course I live in the Up State New York area where vineyards, restaurants and long walks are the most beautiful thing in my area. And clsro without a doubt the tour of time square, statue of liberty and more emblematic places in NYC. And to end a Broadway show

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I firmly believe that the power that the family gives you is the one that leads you to the goal. In my fall my children are the motor of my ambitions, they have given me the strength to overcome all kinds of obstacles and to change my life the moment I decided to live in the United States. and my husband is my support and my anchor when I have to be on dry land! my soul is a bit of a nomad at 35 years of moving to this beautiful country from my country of origin Ecuador, with a great trunk of dreams!
