Meet Jalen Thomas | Owner & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jalen Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jalen, how do you think about risk?
When I was younger, I used to be afraid of taking risks. I would always play it safe, sticking to the things that I knew and avoiding anything that might be remotely dangerous or uncertain. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that life is all about taking risks. The people who achieve the most in life are often the ones who are willing to take risks and venture into the unknown.

So when I decided to start my own video production company, I knew that it was a risk. But it was a risk that I was willing to take because I believed in myself and my abilities. And so far, it’s been one of the best decisions of my life. Taking that risk has allowed me to follow my dreams and pursue my passion for storytelling through video. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been so worth it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At ShineTV, we specialize in creating videos for service-based businesses. We know that these businesses need more than just great footage – they need videos that help them solve specific problems. That’s why we offer a comprehensive solution that includes filming, editing, and strategic advertising to reach the right target audience. Our clients trust us to deliver results that will help them generate more leads and make more money.

I arrived here today by taking action. I knew the start was going to be the hardest, but I kept investing in education, learning from my mentors, and seeking different experiences. Running a business is very difficult, but what I do to overcome challenges is look at where I’ve always wanted to be in life and compare it to where I came from. I don’t ever want to go back.

I want the world to see that ShineTV and myself are here to make a difference. I’ll always be looking for ways to help and add value.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to downtown Fort Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale beach is the place to be, I will take them to drunken taco because they have some of my favorite drinks and tacos.
