Hi Jamar, what do you attribute your success to?
Consistency plays a pivotal role in achieving success in a photography business. In the dynamic and competitive world of photography, establishing a consistent style, quality, and brand image is crucial for building a loyal client base and garnering positive word-of-mouth. When clients can rely on a photographer to consistently deliver stunning and reliable results, it fosters trust and credibility. Moreover, a consistent approach to marketing, social media presence, and client interactions helps in creating a recognizable brand identity. Consistency also extends to the delivery of services and meeting deadlines, showcasing professionalism and reliability. Over time, this reliability translates into repeat business and referrals, ultimately contributing to the long-term success and sustainability of a photography venture. In the ever-evolving realm of visual arts, being consistent not only enhances a photographer’s reputation but also positions them as a reliable and sought-after professional in the industry.

In my pursuit of the art of photography, I strive to capture the cleanest and most visually compelling images possible. My approach involves not just technical precision but also a unique perspective that emanates from the way I perceive moments, whether it’s a live performance or a still subject. Beyond the practicality of meeting financial obligations, my greatest satisfaction lies in witnessing my clients enthusiastically share the captured moments. There’s a profound joy in seeing my work resonate with them and being proudly displayed by those who entrusted me with their memories. Equally rewarding is the unexpected encouragement that flows from strangers who connect with my visual storytelling. The ability to evoke positive reactions and appreciation from diverse audiences adds a fulfilling layer to my artistic journey, reinforcing my commitment to creating images that leave a lasting impact.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots in the city, particularly on a Tuesday or Wednesday, include Club Cubana for its delightful traditional Cuban and Mexican cuisine. The vibrant flavors and inviting ambiance make it a perfect midweek retreat. On the weekends, I can’t resist indulging in the delectable seafood at Quban Seafood, a go-to spot for fantastic fish dishes and the irresistible festival. For a change of pace and a breath of fresh air, I thoroughly enjoy driving out to Hellshire. The combination of the serene coastal surroundings and the local festival scene creates a perfect escape for relaxation and enjoyment. These spots hold a special place in my heart, each offering a unique experience that adds a touch of flavor and joy to my city explorations.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In reflecting upon my journey thus far, it is imperative that I express my heartfelt gratitude to a few individuals who have played pivotal roles in shaping my career. At the forefront is Luigi Society, a multifaceted professional serving as a Promoter, Producer, and Artist Manager. Luigi’s unwavering support and belief in my work were instrumental in a critical step forward in my career journey, amplifying my exposure in ways I could only dream of. His willingness to stake his reputation to showcase the quality of my productions is a debt of gratitude that I carry with me. Another indispensable contributor to my growth is Orville Matherson and the dedicated team at Yaad Boiiz. They provided me with the invaluable opportunity to wield a camera in a professional capacity, marking a significant turning point in my trajectory. Without the support and trust extended by Luigi Society and the Yaad Boiiz team, my current position in my career would be unimaginable. I am profoundly thankful for their belief in my abilities and the roles they’ve played in propelling me forward.
