We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamare Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamare, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
“Sleep when you’re dead,” as it pertains to building wealth or making money.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Who I am as a person is what always set me aside from the rest. I’m a genuine, pure-hearted, God fearing young man that navigates through life without any bad intentions or hidden agendas. No matter what I’ve pursued in life, I’ve always put the passion over the profit.
What excites me most about myself is my ability to persevere. I’ve seen first-hand, how so many individuals use their experiences, challenges, and upbringing as an excuse to stay stagnant. I noticed that the very thing me and those individuals have in common is that we utilizes our downfalls in life as a crutch. The difference is their crutch is use to handicap them; preventing them from walking in their purpose, but me on the other hand, the qualities I possess allowed me to utilize my crutch as a tool.
Talking less, listening more, persevering utilizing resources, taking advantage of opportunities presented to me, networking and being teachable are all what has helped me to advance personally and professionally. Each is essential for growth. This journey has not been easy and is not for the weak or faint at heart. My journey to success and financial freedom, which is ongoing, has taught me the importance of being humble, genuine, thankful and teachable.
The one thing that I would like for the world to know about my brand, my story and myself, is that I am nothing without God. My shortcomings, and mistakes in life never denied me of my favor.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would definitely start every day with a little workout with Tate over at Tate Performance Fitness. Outside of that, Miami is a melting pot. I like the idea of exploring different cultures, whether it be food or events. I think that a week long vacation with a friend would include site seeing as Miami is a very beautiful city with so much culture. What’s Miami with out the water? So, parasailing, jet skiing and perhaps an evening on a yacht. We would definitely hit up a few night clubs, bars and restaurants. I’m a creator, so I’d definitely like to introduce my friend to candle making, pottery and pizza making.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my parents, who have always been there to support and encourage me. Since childhood, I recall my mother being there every step of the way; every award ceremony, graduation and other celebratory moments surrounding my many achievements. My father has always been an open ear and a pillar, encouraging me to keep pushing and face life challenges head on.
I would also like to shoutout my sister, Jamesha; step-brother, Jabre; cousin Shantae; and sister-in-law, Vonceil. These individuals keep me level headed. Thanks for allowing me to vent, brainstorm, bounce ideas or just simply be.
