We had the good fortune of connecting with Jana + Stefan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jana + Stefan, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Basically there will be only 1 question, that gives you an answer on whether to keep going or to give up: Do you believe, that the current situation will improve in a certain timeframe or not?
If the answer is “yes”, then keep going.
If the answer is “no”, then give up immediately. Time is valuable, and we can’t afford to waste it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We have travelled across the whole globe within 200 days. During our journey we experienced different kinds of challenges (whether it was about food, accommodations, foreign cultures etc. etc.) that we needed to solve, in order to continue our trip.
What we can say is, that you will learn on how to deal with unpleasant situations.
You will learn to focus on the few real important things in life – so that made it an amazing experience for us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Its so difficult to decide for simply one place, as we have seen so many different terrific places. But if we would need to decide for only 1 place it would be:

Sumatra (Indonesia)

We were lucky to be able to stay on Sumatra for a couple of days and so we took the chance to go into the deep jungle.
Together with our guide we have been crawling through bushes, crossing wild rivers, and seeking for wild animals.
Our highlight moment was the encounter of wild Orang Utans.
It was such an incredible feeling to meet these peaceful animals within their natural habitats, we won’t forget for the rest of our lives.
