We had the good fortune of connecting with Janet Orozco Feller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janet, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of my career. For me, risk is not a deterrent but a catalyst for innovation and growth. In fact, embracing risk has been the cornerstone of every venture. I approach risk with a calculated mindset, always seeking situations where the potential upside outweighs the downside. I try to mitigate risk as much as possible by doing extensive research and preparing for different contingencies. Without taking risks. none of my successes or invaluable lessons from failures would have been possible.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve built several companies—from an electrical contracting company, to a merchant services business, to multiple consulting firms. Today, I serve as a loan broker and business credit strategist, helping entrepreneurs get access to funding and build strong, bankable business credit profiles. It’s work that energizes me every day, because I know what it’s like to be on the other side—grinding, building, and trying to figure it all out.

What sets me apart is my hands-on experience across different industries and the fact that I truly understand the unique challenges entrepreneurs face. I don’t just teach theory—I’ve been in the trenches, made the mistakes, and come out stronger for it.

One of the things I’m most proud of is my Spanish-language podcast, Impulso con Janet, where I create space for conversations with fellow business owners and changemakers. It’s my way of giving back to the community and amplifying voices that often go unheard in mainstream business media.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I’ve faced setbacks, cash flow issues, bad partnerships—you name it. But I learned that resilience, adaptability, and clarity of purpose are everything. Every failure taught me how to be more resourceful, more intentional, and more committed to delivering real value.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that I’m not here for quick wins or surface-level success. I’m here to build legacies—to help entrepreneurs become financially empowered and create businesses that thrive long-term. My journey has been anything but linear, but every chapter has prepared me for the impact I get to make today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit me in Palm Beach County, I’d make sure they experienced the best of what this area has to offer—beautiful beaches, great food, unique local spots, and the kind of laid-back luxury that makes you want to stay forever.

We’d definitely spend some time along the coast—Delray Beach and Boca Raton have some of the best shoreline vibes, perfect for a beach day followed by a cocktail with an ocean view. The energy on Atlantic Avenue in Delray is hard to beat: it’s always buzzing, full of cool restaurants, bars, live music, and people just enjoying life. I love grabbing dinner at places like El Camino for bold Mexican flavors or Elisabetta’s if we’re feeling Italian with a side of people-watching.

In Boca, we’d hit up Mizner Park—not just for the shopping, but also for spots like Louie Bossi’s or Tanzy, which both serve up great food in stylish spaces. And for a more chill hang, the coffee and craft cocktail scene here is really solid—The Seed in Boca or Subculture Coffee in West Palm Beach are my go-tos.

We’d absolutely spend a day exploring West Palm Beach too. The Warehouse District and Grandview Public Market have this really cool, creative energy—food stalls, live music, local makers. Then there’s The Square (formerly CityPlace), where you can have a nice dinner at RH Rooftop, catch a show at the Kravis Center, or just stroll around with gelato.

Of course, I’d want to show them some of the area’s hidden gems too—like the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, or a walk through Gumbo Limbo if we want to connect with nature and spot a sea turtle or two. And if we’re in the mood for a little glam, Palm Beach island is always a vibe: picture-perfect streets, boutique shopping on Worth Avenue, and an elegant dinner at Buccan or Le Bilboquet.

What I love most about Palm Beach County is that you can go from barefoot at the beach to dressed up for rooftop cocktails all in one day. There’s something for every mood—whether it’s nature, nightlife, culture, or just good company and great food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This is a fantastic question because it hits on a truth that’s central to any entrepreneurial journey: you absolutely do not do it alone. While the spotlight often lands on the founder, there’s always a whole ecosystem of support behind them.

So, for my shoutout, it has to be, without a shadow of a doubt, my family. They are the unsung heroes, the foundation of my entire entrepreneurial story. People see the businesses, the “successes,” maybe even the “failures” that become lessons, but they don’t always see the incredible foundation of support that makes it all possible to even attempt.

Think about it: the life of a serial entrepreneur is a rollercoaster. There are exhilarating highs, but there are also gut-wrenching lows filled with uncertainty, long hours, and immense pressure. Through all of that, my family has been the constant. They’ve provided the emotional stability that’s allowed me to take the huge professional risks I’ve taken. They’ve celebrated the wins with genuine joy and, more importantly, provided a safe harbor during the storms, offering encouragement when self-doubt crept in. They’ve endured the late nights, the missed dinners, the conversations dominated by “the next big idea,” and they’ve done it with a level of patience and understanding that still astounds me. Their belief in me, even when a venture was just a fledgling concept or facing serious headwinds, has been an incredible source of strength. They are my sounding board, my reality check, and my most loyal cheerleaders. The sacrifices they’ve made, the unwavering love, and the consistent encouragement – that’s the fuel that allows me to keep getting back up when I’m knocked down. So, I give a great big, heartfelt shoutout to them; they deserve more credit than words can express.
