Meet Janet Wickers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Janet Wickers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Janet, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business came from a place of both love and preparation. Life is uncertain—you never know what could happen five minutes from now. The idea that my husband could be the sole provider without a Plan B in place gave me anxiety. What if something happened? What if we faced loss, illness, divorce, or an economic downturn? I didn’t want to be left starting from zero like so many women I’ve seen—broken, shocked, and forced to rebuild while grieving. I wanted to be ready. Not just mentally supportive for my husband, but also financially contributing in a way that brought peace to our household.
I was craving something passive—something that allowed me to be fully present with my kids while still creating income. I wanted freedom, but I also wanted to be an example for my daughters: that you can be soft and loved, and still be strong and self-sufficient. And for my son, I wanted him to grow up seeing the value in a partner who’s a go-getter, who contributes, who thinks long-term and builds alongside her spouse. Starting this business wasn’t just about me—it was about building a life where we could all thrive, together.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is rooted in faith, purpose, and the deep desire to create options—not just for myself, but for every woman who’s ever felt stuck or overlooked. I help women build passive income online, not just so they can make money, but so they can live freely—be present for their families, be proud of their contributions, and never feel like they have to start from zero if life takes an unexpected turn.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just teach strategy—I lead with heart. I know what it’s like to grow up watching someone struggle to make ends meet. I know what it’s like to want to give your kids more, while also wanting to be there for every moment. I built my business with that in mind: freedom, impact, legacy.
Getting here wasn’t easy. There were so many moments of doubt, rejection, and overwhelm. But I stayed grounded in faith and surrounded myself with women who lifted me up. Every “no” taught me persistence. Every challenge refined my purpose. I learned that consistency beats perfection and that your story—your real, unpolished journey—is what connects people to you.
I want the world to know that this isn’t just about sales or social media. This is about creating a life you don’t need to escape from. It’s about building something real, sustainable, and soul-led. That’s the heart of my brand—and the mission I wake up for every day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to recognize Nilda Pedraja, who has been an incredible mentor and guiding light throughout my journey. From day one, she believed in me—before I fully believed in myself. She’s the kind of leader who leads with heart, wisdom, and unwavering faith, and she always made me feel seen, heard, and capable. Her support wasn’t just about strategy or business tips—it was emotional, spiritual, and deeply empowering. Nilda reminded me of my purpose when things got hard, and pushed me to grow when I felt stuck. I’m beyond grateful for her example, her mentorship, and the role she’s played in helping me step into the woman and entrepreneur I was meant to be..
