Meet Jayger McGough Tomasino | Co-Owner at The Miami Cleaners

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayger McGough Tomasino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jayger, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Like most people, I got caught up in an endless cycle of work and responsibilities in my Tech Job at Salesforce, with a constant nose grind that raised my nose to the grindstone, and a constant mess in my home coming home after a long day of not feeling like a sanctuary. Dust was gathering in the corners, piles of laundry were growing, and the kitchen – let’s just say, looked more like it came out of the aftermath of a hurricane than a place to cook. I also didn’t feel very satisfied with the different cleaning companies I had tried. Many were unprofessional, didn’t arrive on time, lacked communication and the list goes on.

I then realized I wasn’t the only one experiencing this with other cleaning companies at the time and so I figured, “Why not start my own?”.

This is where we started our little project. A clean, organized home was not a luxury, but a necessity – something that many professionals, parents and busy individuals can’t complete due to their busy schedules. Fast forward to today, last year in 2022 we completed about 850 cleanings and are on track to completing about 2500 this year.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Miami Cleaners is a professional cleaning service specializing in home cleaning, move in/out cleanings in Miami. We distinguish ourselves through meticulous attention to detail and exceptional customer service. Our journey hasn’t been easy, but overcoming obstacles like unrealistic customer expectations has only strengthened us. We’re proud of our dedicated team of professionals and our commitment to eco-friendly practices. Our growth and a sterling five-star rating are testaments to our resilience and dedication. We want the world to know that we value health, time, and above all, our people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Absolutely, Miami is full of life and excitement. We’d start with a lunch at LaLeggenda Pizzeria, boasting the best Neapolitan pizza in town. Then, we might head to South Pointe Park, hang a hammock and enjoy the balmy Miami air while watching a breathtaking sunset. After that, a culinary treat awaits at Planta in South Beach, with its unique & exciting menu. Days filled with strolling through Wynwood Walls, visiting the Frost Science Museum, and boating in Biscayne Bay would follow. A week of sun, food, and Miami’s vibrant energy!
