We had the good fortune of connecting with Jean Navarro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jean, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Making a positive impact to the pest control industry as a whole throughout the nation. In 2020 since starting my own bee rescue & Pest control business, we’ve been focused and committed to educating and sharing our passion with others.
Prior to starting my own business, I worked in pest control with my father “Marco Navarro” and saw that there was a large norm of pest control professionals that killed bees due to them not having the proper training on how to properly remove a bee hive.
As registered beekeepers, we take upon the care and relocation of feral bee hive throughout South Florida as homeowners find bees in their home.
We now work with different pest control professionals/companies that if they receive a call on bees, they have us that they can trust and call to make sure they are guided the right way.
What should our readers know about your business?
As pest control professionals in a bee rescue world, people assume we only kill bees or eradicate “spray” the bees. Which we don’t, we strive and do the complete opposite. One of our biggest struggles is that when people want to save the bees, they aim for the local beekeepers and miss the fact that we are local beekeepers striving to make a positive impact to push homeowners to have bees save rather than killed.
When walking into beekeeping meetings, people see pest control and automatically “these guys kill bugs”, we then have to educate them about our mission stated and passion for the bees. Once they hear us, they are aligned with us and support what we do in the pest control industry.
What sets us apart is that many companies or people do not like or want to work with bees due to the fact that they are stinging insects or for the simple liability. We strive to bee a company that does work that many others do not take or strive to for. We recently did a 18 bee hive rescue and relocation from one abandoned location.
We are mostly excited that we are growing in what we do! Not only as a company, but throughout the company and are known as the bee guys when people see us on the road. We just added another service truck to our service fleet and couldn’t Bee more excited.
I got to where we are today but truly believing in what we did. A lot of sacrifice took please just like many things in life but truly believing in the process is what kept me going. My team is another reason I strive for success. Us as a company don’t only want to be doing good, we want our entire team/staff to progress as the business progress as well as we all have personal and business goals to achieve. That’s what we’re about.
I would love the world to know that us as a pest control company, there is a lot more to what we do than what is seen. A lot of time and effort is spent for the success of the proper pest management in homes or business. We truly care about accomplishing control whether it’s for bees, roaches, termites or any other pests.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Boxr Miami, is a place we would definitely take them to and make a visit due to the culture and energetic energy in that building. We would also go by Wynwood and stop at VISTA, great food and it’s always a great time there. Lastly a walk around Brickell miami for them to site see the buildings and see a bit of what miami has to offer in our tropical state
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The national pest management association, they’ve been extremely helpful in having the right tools to help a company of any size grow.
I was able to get into a program called and best known as the “Executive Leadership Program” Class of 2023 and ever since joining the association it’s been a great experience and has connected me to many like minded individuals throughout the entire United States.
