We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeanette Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeanette, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the most important factors in the success of my brand is setting clear and realistic expectations for my clients. It is a balance between managing the clients’ needs and wants. The path to success in any subject is never a straight line. The same is true in fitness. There are set backs, challenges and eventually progress. Real, long lasting results require dedication, commitment and so much hard work. Once people learn to appreciate the process, success is inevitable.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the owner of two small businesses. Get Results Fitness and Bootywerks. Get Results Fitness provides corporate wellness programs and private, custom training and wellness services in clients homes. BWerks provides group fitness classes based around the Up Lift Pro exercise bench. This is a unique exercise bench that targets legs, glute and core. It was designed and created by my husband, Herve Casimir.

I have been in the fitness business fro 17 years. I can not say the work itself is hard because I absolutely love what I do. However, as an entrepreneur the challenge is constant. I always said the owning a business feels like you are constantly in a sink or swim scenario. Personally, I embrace the challenge and I thrive in it. Its my definition of freedom. I overcome the challenges by always choosing to forge ahead. One of the most valuable lessons I can share is that the moment you feel like quitting is the moment you must gather yourself and fight harder. You will succeed.

Our brands, Get Results and Bootywerks are 100% dedicated to providing real results in a person life. We have created a welcoming community that supports people in every stage of their fitness journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I think a drive to The Keys for lunch at Snappers is a must. The scene is breath taking and the atmosphere is so relaxing. An evening in Midtown strolling the galleries is also on the list! Im a trainer so a morning jog on the Rickenbacker Causeway and then beach time at Key Biscayne is on my agenda. We love Coconut Grove so dinner at Bellini and Koko are also on the list. Amazing views, food and great ambiance.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many friends and family have helped along the way! We have an incredible village. Other small business owners who simply believed on our talent and work ethic who have given us priceless advice, friends and family who helped with child care, and investors who provided financial opportunities for us to grow. I can never thank them enough.
