We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Fresh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeff, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I grew up listening to Kompa and Hip hop, I used to sing and rap after school. On college I recorded my first song ever since then I been in love with recording music. My 2 buddies were in the same college as I and they were in a rap group call “J n J boys” they were some of the best rap groups. They took me to my first studio session where I recorded my first song ever. Now in 2021, I make universal music and used all different type of producers all around the world whenever I am working on a project.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I’m working on a song, I like to let the instruments inspire me to write and then record it. The instruments set the vibe then The rest is history 😁 I just release my first Studio album name “Shadow Black” this album has so much different sounds that everyone who listen to it like more than 9 songs because everyone will find certain songs on their they will like. “Shadow Black” is a mixer of Afrobeat, hip hop, kompa, and reggae. The album is available on all streaming platforms around the world. I get a lot of positive feedbacks about the album in the Caribbean, United States, Africa, South America, and Europe. first of all I’m a businessman who has numerous business ventures around the world and known as a mentor to a lot of young men. Therefore my music is a hobby and my therapy, I like to use recording music as a way to get away from the world. I will continue to use my music to spread love and peace around the world those are my plans for the future. Spreading my music around the world is what I am focus on for the future.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take him to south Haiti in a city name Les Cayes. I would take home to the beach their name Gèllè great seafood and drinks. Amazing music and beautiful people. Than go to couple villages so he can meet the people and site seeing. Take him to my family factory where we produce Vetiver oil. I’ve traveled to different countries before Bahamas, Mexico, Haiti, And Canada. Of course I travel too a lot of states New Orleans and Atlanta are my favorites.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My whole family, Father, grandfathers, grandmothers, mother, Uncles, and aunties. Also my best friend Jakeem Bey for being a great friend that has a lot of knowledge about business and my he music industry.
