We had the good fortune of connecting with JEFFREY JOACHIM and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JEFFREY, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

It was a number of things honestly. I wanted to get into Digital Media so I started cartooning pictures of people for free. My skills grew over time as I learned the trade, so I knew it was time to actually make this into a business. Cartooning Pictures isn’t the only thing I do of course; I also create logos and business cards for everyone starting a small business. For this side of my brand, my main thought was that I wanted to help other people grow their brand. I see the prices of my competitors, and sometimes it isn’t about the money for me. I feel honored knowing that I was able to help someone build their brand; they’re doing what they need to do to make it out. We don’t want to work a 9 – 5 for the rest of our lives, because I sure don’t. This is what I think about every time I help out a client. Lastly, My book; I wrote and published my own book called, “Betrayal: One Decision Changed His Life” currently being sold on Amazon. The thought process behind this was simple. I want to be able to show people how imaginative and creative my mind gets. Hopefully I can turn it into a movie one day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

What sets me apart from others I would say is my dedication and friend base. Reason I choose these two items is because my main drive is making sure you, the client, is satisfied with my work. Some other business require a down payment before they even begin to draft anything, and I know why they do it. For me, I don’t take payment until everything is completed and you gave it the “OK”. Do I fear that people will just have me waste time and go elsewhere? No, because my prices beat all my competitors, so they’ll end up paying double what I charge if they go elsewhere and during the whole process I’m in constant communication with my client, making sure this is something they like. My business has been shared by a lot of my clients who are personal friends of mine and they all love my work. Starting up was not easy. It’s true when they say you’re your own worst enemy. I’ve faced battles with myself and lost and it’s caused me to procrastinate or stop everything I’ve been working on. But with strong people in my corner I was able to get through it all and refocus. I’ve rebranded and rebuilt and I’ve been able to accomplish most of my goals. I just want to leave a legacy. It starts with me, and when I’m gone I won’t be forgotten. Who knows…maybe this business will transform into a Non-profit who mainly focuses on helping other people grow their businesses.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Wynwood – The Oasis for some bomb food.
– Wynwood Walls to see the graffiti art.
– SuperBlue for an amazing art experience.
And Bar Hop all down Ocean Drive in Miami Beach

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

There are a few people I want to give a shoutout to: My Wife, Natalie Joachim; My Minister and Mentor Ismail Joseph and My Deacon Vick Scott. Honestly, without their input, I would’ve been sleeping on my idea. They pushed me and realigned me to what I can accomplish if I just stick to the path.
