Meet Jenna Cuomo | Artist and Business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenna Cuomo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenna, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose to pursue an artistic career because I’ve always loved the arts growing up. I was always in AP art and art honor society so I knew when I was older I wanted to put my skills to use.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What makes my art unique is that I spend countless hours every day creating original paintings and sketches. I also don’t just sell Paintings, a big part of my brand are stickers. Stickers are very popular again and something I really love creating. Since the sticker industry is so saturated with artist what sets mine apart are that they’re holographic and sparkle in the sunlight. People love them! When I first started my business it was on vacation in 2020 and I didn’t think anyone would want to buy my art but 2 years later I’ve solved over 2,100 products ! I want people to know that if you set your mind to something and really put in the hard work you’ll always succeed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have a friend that actually lives in Long Island about 2 hours from me , so I have actually made an itinerary before for when she comes to visit me. There’s a few restaurants I’m obsessed with , Thai cafe 88 has the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and playa Cancun is my favorite Mexican restaurant with the best mango margaritas. I would also take us to the mall because there’s a Dave n busters and that’s always a fun time. I also love 40 minutes from Manhattan so I spend a lot for Ike there since it’s so close. I’d definitely take my friend there so we can explore all the cafes and museums they have to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to deviate my shoutout to the music industry. In a way it’s an art form itself and since I was very little it has always inspired me in every part of my life. A few specific musical artists who inspire me are One direction, Shawn mendes and Olivia rodrigo.
