We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Altieri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, so many of the folks we connect with are focused on having a positive social impact on their community or the world at large. Can you talk to us about how you are helping the community?
Changing lives and creating happiness. Two separate and different business that share this common mission. Influenced by my mom’s example I spent plenty of my life building town playgrounds, chaperoning kids dances and even hiding eggs for the annual town Easter Egg Hunt. It wasn’t that surprising when I created my own 501(c)3 charity. Kindness Shared Happiness Squared has a mission to distribute happiness to kids and animals in need. We run 100% volunteer, no salaries or benefits paid to anyone. Kindness Shared has six programs to help kids in foster care. A program to feed hungry kids on the weekends, and animal therapy programs. We have rescued and continue to care for the 15 animals in our therapy programs. Hope Inrheart Life Coaching for women is my other creation. Hope Inrheart was born out of my own struggles and insecurities. I learned firsthand through my own journey that making the world a better place begins by healing our own heart first. I wasn’t always the happy, confident woman that I am today. Lucky for me, it turns out happiness is a choice and confidence is a muscle. We are never stuck, even though we can feel stuck. When we feel stuck it’s important to have someone to guide us along our path. There was a time when I had almost zero confidence. I had two basic default modes, door mat or passive aggressive. If that wasn’t bad enough, I yelled at my kids all. of. the. time! I later shared that part of my story as a reformed yeller in my book called “WHY ARE YOU YELLING? A Parent’s Guide To Raising Kids Without Raising Your Voice”. What changed my life completely was my life coach and all the tools, teachers, and techniques that she introduced to me. When I changed, my relationships with everyone changed. Most importantly my marriage healed, and my kids and I now enjoy amazing relationships. None of that could have happened until I changed myself. Hope Inrheart would never have been formed and Kindness Shared would only be a dream. I had to learn how to create peace within. Today, it is my life’s work and my honor to support women as they learn how to tap into the peace that is within them. One of my favorite benefits of this work is how far reaching the positive effects go. This work transforms generations. The change you make in your life today will affect your children and their children’s children. Peace and happiness start within us and it grows from the seed of self-love. Only once we truly love ourselves, can we love anyone else. Love yourself and let it flow. Not just onto your family and friends but let it flow all the way down the street and out of your neighborhood. Before you know it, your love will know no bounds. When there are no boundaries to your love, your potential is unlimited. My work is to gently guide you to remove all boundaries that are blocking your potential.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe what sets Hope Inrheart Life Coaching for Women apart from others is that clients truly feel supported and nurtured along the way. Now, I know that’s, not for everyone. Some people want a good kick in the butt to motivate them. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s just not what my clients are looking for. I feel like life can be hard enough on it’s own and life is more than happy to give you a kick in the butt, so nobody needs me to do that for them. Instead, I offer a hand when you need to be lifted back to your feet and I will continue to hold your hand for as long as it takes. My favorite way to learn and take steps outside my comfort zone is to do it feeling loved and supported. To be set up to succeed. And that is what I do for my clients, I set them up for success. Sometimes that means going from to good to great and sometimes that means going from crappy to happy. Either way my unique process is transformation through gratitude. You are nurtured, supported every step of the way. Women are often amazed at how quickly they see results when they go from being their biggest critic to their biggest cheerleader.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a happy homebody! Which is a good thing considering I live on a farm taking care of the Kindness Shared therapy animals. If a friend was visiting the area they would stay with me and share the unconditional love of our amazing animals and I would put them to work while I have them here. My favorite place to take friends to eat is The Farmers Table in Boca. They have great vegan options as well as plenty of options for friends who aren’t vegan.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, everyone is our teacher and I’m grateful for everyone who has been on this journey with me. Specifically, I need to give a huge shout out to my husband. We do life together as a team and help each other live our dreams. Another person who deserves more than a little credit is my Mom. Her influence on my charity work just scratches the surface. She has always taken the high road, both in her personal life and in her professional life. She has spent a lifetime accomplishing things that people said couldn’t be done. Not only is she an amazing role model she is also my hero.
