We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Dalio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, how do you think about risk?
When I think about risk, I think about it in terms of social settings and how we risk ourselves through honest communication. I was part of a beautiful group in college that met weekly to talk about lived experiences. Within the group, there was a moderator that would often interrupt us and say, “Risk yourselves more! Share what’s really going on for you! Jugatela!,” which in Argentina means, “get in the arena and risk playing for real.” We took his advice and started saying what we were actually feeling or struggling with and it was transformational. I noticed that when someone shared honestly, everyone else put their guard down. I started trying it myself and realized it helped me create more genuine relationships. This excitement in the face of social risk continues to serve me to this day.

What should our readers know about your business?
From the moment I could talk, I was asking existential questions. Why are we here, and what makes life worthwhile?

Along the way, I discovered that for me, a prerequisite for a purposeful life involves meaningful relationships. And these are built through deep and enriching conversations.

Live Deeply is an ecosystem of experiential products, services and communities designed to help you grow by creating deeper connections both inside and out. The company offers a variety of emotional curation card games that foster connection and community through conversation prompts. Each card game is crafted to elicit thought-provoking discussions among friends and family, while reigniting memories and helping build stronger, deeper, and more satisfying relationships.

With Live Deeply, I am challenging the way people build and maintain relationships. There’s a loss of connection and community in the world today that cannot be restored without our willing and intentional participation. We do that by taking the time to listen to one another, creating safe spaces for conversation and taking the risk of being vulnerable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Fruit and Spice Park. It has more than 100 different species of fruit-baring trees and you can taste all of them.

I love walking around Miami’s art district, Wynwood, it’s so vibrant.

The Frost Museum is great for kids.

Casa Tua Cucina in downtown is delicious.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I experienced a lot of loneliness in college. I was surrounded by people but felt like I was the odd one out because I was asking existential questions that others were less interested in, so in a mass of humans, I felt alone. I didn’t fit in.

Eventually, I found a group of people who really helped me embrace life in a whole new way. They offered friendship that was beautiful and embraced life with joy. They formed the base of the answer I had looked for high and low. I want to thank each of them for helping me live deeply and with joy. I want to dedicate my shoutout to them.

Specifically, my former roommates: Ellen Roderick, Katrina Bieler, and Amy Sapenoff. We lived together after college and this was a life-changing experience for me. Every night we would have dinner together, engaging in deep and meaningful conversations. On the refrigerator, there was a magnet that said, “Live deep instead of fast.” It resonated with me because we live in such a fast-paced world that we often forget to slow down and really connect with each other. During my time with my former roommates, I learned what sharing a life filled with love, friendship and spirit can look like.

I called my brand, “Live Deeply,” because that’s what the mission is: to help people have a more meaningful life and more connected relationships, by living in a deeper, truer way.
