We had the good fortune of connecting with Jerome Tomlinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jerome, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are an integral part in any business or any entrepreneurial venture one decides to embark on. As the popular term states; “No risk, no reward” and I am a firm believer in that statement to which I have embraced throughout my life as an entrepreneur.

I have never really heard of anyone who made it big and successful by ‘playing it safe’; there’s always got to be some form of risk included whether strategic, calculated or of some kind.

From an early age in my life, I’ve always had a business mindset in which I knew I had to go out on a limb and take some risks in order to pursue my dreams. Over the years, I’ve taken a lot of risks starting multiple businesses and taking on several investment opportunities of which most have failed and resulted in losses; but how I look at those “Ls” weren’t merely as losses but as lessons, which I have also embraced and learnt from each of those experiences that have allowed me to never give up but to keep striving and has lead me to now being able to operate my own successful business.

What should our readers know about your business?
The name of my company is the Exclusive Travel Group Limited; A registered and IATA certified Travel Agency which currently serves as the parent company for its two subsidiaries; Exclusive Travel deals and Exclusive Adventure Deals.

Exclusive Travel Deals is considered the travel subsidiary of the company providing everything travel including flights, hotels, villas, Airbnbs, car rentals etc worldwide while Exclusive Adventure Deals is the excursion subsidiary of the company providing thrilling adventures and activities for clients locally and internationally.

What sets us apart from the others is our passion and commitment to providing a 100% customer service satisfaction for all our clients from the initial planning, execution and to the very end of each trip/adventure, our team of professionals are there to assist with every query or to resolve any issues if any should arise.

Throughout this journey so far there are many moments of which I am very proud but I must say I am most proud of seeing my idea which stemmed from just my own travel hobby to now being a brand getting recognition globally and growing exponentially at a fast rate along with the excellent feedback and reviews we receive daily from our clients which makes it much more exciting and worthwhile.

How we got here today was really through a lot of hard work, commitment and consistency over the period. It all started with a vision and a dream and so I ensured I dedicated a lot of my time to making this dream a reality. Was it easy? Definitely not. But as they say; “nothing good in life comes easy” so yes there were several challenges along the way which we had to work to overcome through a lot research and adaptation through which we were able to learn a lot more about the global travel industry especially operating through the Covid-19 pandemic with a lot of travel restrictions and requirements specific to different countries and destinations; we had to always stay up to date with all these new information to best prepare and serve our clients effectively during this time.

I want the world to know that the Exclusive Travel Group is much more than just a brand but a lifestyle; one that is here to stay and to positively impact the travel industry globally for generations to come with excellent service and customer satisfaction guaranteed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay so Personally I really love Miami, it’s definitely a whole vibe there. I love staying at the EAST Miami hotel in Brickell I’d definitely recommend anyone to stay there or if in south beach The Setai Miami Beach hotel is a must; whether you’re staying a few nights or just to dine at the restaurants you’ll definitely be entertained along with great food and service. We would also have to go have dinner at the Sexy Fish restaurant which is also a whole experience and to top it off with something extra fancy; The Kiki on the river restaurant is a must try! Restaurants aside; there’s lots of shopping to do here in Miami and fun activities like Jet Skiing or Parasailing in South beach or visit Biscayne bay and do some speed boat sightseeing tours around the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would of course like to first of all thank God for all his blessings in my life as none of this would’ve never been possible without him.
