We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Fulco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Music, film, creativity, and art in general impact the world like no other medium. It can change your mood, deliver a message, and spark interest in other creatives. As a society, we rely on art in so many ways, and we have since the beginning of time. Music brings people together. Art has no boundaries. A world without music isn’t a world at all.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Work ethic. Work ethic is the key to success. You have to really dedicate yourself. It takes a lot of discipline and it’s not easy. But if you want something as much as you want to breathe, you have to put the work in. It’s late nights, early mornings, pain, rejection, and more. But it’s all worth it.
I started playing music when I was 5 years old. I’ve traveled the world playing music. I’ve performed live thousands of times, recorded countless times, and had the opportunities to work with some of the best musicians and artists out there. My wish is to make people happy. Wether they enjoy listening my music, or just feel a little bit better by seeing a live show, I want people to escape reality even if just for a short moment, and let go of all the BS they deal with everyday.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had friends visiting Miami, there’s a lot of places I would love to take them. Gotta hit the beach during the day. Take in some sunshine, swim, tan, and enjoy the day. At night, we would have to go up and down Ocean Drive. It’s a little bit touristy and overrated, but if you’re hitting Miami, it’s a must. During the day I would also take them to Wynwood to hang out and check out some street art and shop. For all my musician friends, Walt Grace Vintage is a must see! There are so many great food spots I can’t pick just one, but we would be eating a lot!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without my father and my brother I wouldn’t be here today. My father, Joey Fulco, is an incredible musician and songwriter. Growing up in dive bars, recording studios, backstage rooms, and a house constantly full of music was all I needed to catch the music bug. My dad taught me everything I know. He’s always pushed me to be the best I can be and to have a great work ethic.
My brother Dominick Fulco is also an amazing songwriter and musician. He’s been having a good amount of success with his own music. Having him to write songs with, bounce ideas off of, and perform together has been the best bond ever, and only brothers can relate.
Also, thank you to all the incredible bands, musicians, and songs that have inspired me and taken me to another world.
