We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Cacace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, how do you think about risk?
I believe everyone needs to experience risk in their lives in order to grow. It is a crucial way to gain experience and create new opportunities. With that being said, risk can be a scary thought and I was no different. The thought of leaving a steady, salaried job with a guaranteed income had be a bit panicked. But I also realized that without taking that leap, I was going to feel “stuck” working for someone else’s dream forever. And for me, the risk far outweighed any potential disadvantages. From my experience, it is important to go in to taking a risk in life and/or career knowing that it may harm you in the short term. I had to take a large pay cut for some time and be “ok” with doing so. There were times this became very mentally challenging for me as I was always used to saving and never stressing over financials. When you start to see success from all the hard work and dedication, it all kind of comes together. My biggest fear is to look back and think “what if?”. Even if you fail, you are going to walk away with more knowledge and experience. And maybe that will open an even bigger door.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It has taken many years of putting in hard work to get to where I am today. I have learned a ton of lessons along the way, and even though it was tough going through those experiences, they have each shaped me as a person and driven me to do better in business. I jumped in to a partnership very quick in the past because I was afraid to take the leap alone. When that failed, I thought to myself “why not just give this a go alone?” because the last thing I want is regrets in life like “what ifs?”. Little did I know at the time that all of those previous experiences I had been through were preparing me for this very moment. I am now able to shape my business in to my own dream and have the support and encouragement of close individuals that I look up to as business professionals. JLC Partners, Inc. is a small team of talented individuals who pour their heart in to each project. We are not the typical marketing agency. We take clients whose stories and brands we believe in and they align with us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would add a little adrenaline rush to this week trip! And start by renting jetskis in the bay and get some awesome views of the Miami skyline and (hopefully) spot some dolphins. To add to the adrenaline, why not also go on an airboat ride through the everglades to spot gators since my best friend definitely doesn’t have any of those where she lives!

Now we need some caffeine, so we have to stop and grab some cuban colada. Hopefully it is early in the day so we aren’t awake for about 2 days straight. I learned the hard way when I first moved to south florida and thought that all of the little plastic cups they give you were for you take take the whole colada at once!

We must hit up Wynwood Walls to see the talented artists and incredible outdoor street art museum. It is the perfect opportunity to take some new best friend colorful photos.

We both love a bargain so we will find time to head to Sawgrass Mills and get some shopping done!

I also have to show her the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel and we will hang out by the pool, grab some drinks and then head in to the casino to play blackjack. Hopefully we win some money to cover all that shopping we did!

And of course we will be hungry! We will go to Espanola Way for some pre-dinner cocktails. Right around the corner is one of my favorites, Pane & Vino, where it feels like you are in Italy and the pasta is all homemade. We will definitely get the parmesan wheel!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my friend and Art Director, Gino Agnetti, for supporting me and bringing his design expertise to the table to help guide me through client projects.
