Meet Jessica | Hair Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking can be uncomfortable, but I believe it is an essential part of growth. Opening my salon was me taking a huge risk on myself. It was in the middle of 2020, when the pandemic was in full swing. We really didn’t know where the state of the world would be in the coming months. I was still growing my clientele. I was very nervous, but I had a great support system. Taking the risk to open my salon has been one of the greatest rewards. I’ve learned that progress doesn’t come from staying in your comfort zone and playing it safe. It comes from trusting your own abilities and taking a chance on yourself, even when you’re not sure what the outcome is going to be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hair is my art! My clients are my canvas. I think something that sets me apart is my connection with my clients. I love making women feel their most beautiful. I specialize in “lived in” color. Seamless blends. Every client who sits in my chair gets a look tailored to their lifestyle, hair texture, and vibe! I’m proud of these connections I’ve built with my clients and the trust they place in me with their hair! I’m excited to continue to grow my business, keeping up with modern color techniques while also keeping the hair as healthy as possible so my clients can have beautiful, on trend hair while maintaining its integrity.
My art is ultimately about confidence and helping those that sit in my chair feel beautiful in their own skin.
I got where I am professionally through passion, hard work, and a great mentor! I was lucky enough to have an amazing mentor who took me under her wing and helped me grow into the stylist & business owner I am today. It wasn’t easy, and there were times I definitely wanted to quit. I also feel like people underestimated me at times. I truly love what I do and I think having that passion is what kept me going.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week long in West Palm Beach. here are some things I would do:
– Go to Juno beach, the beach is so beautiful and the water is a gorgeous shade of blue.
– Have lunch at Guanabana’s in Jupiter. Its a chill vibe!
– Visit Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.
– The green market on a Saturday morning is a cool experience.
– Dinner at Tropical Smokehouse, best burgers in town!
– A fancier dinner would be at RH rooftop restaurant in City Place.
– Aioli in WPB is a great place to grab coffee, breakfast, and lunch.
– Shopping at the outlets
– Take a drive on Palm Beach and look at the beautiful mansions.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Rudy, was basically the reason I opened my salon! It was his idea for me to open a salon. He is also a small business owner. He wanted me to be my own boss. He encouraged me every step of the way and believed in me, especially when I had my doubts!
