Meet Jessica Mckinley Uyeno | Coach for Ambitious Women Business Owners

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Mckinley Uyeno and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I coach ambitious women business owners who are craving balance as they grow. We’re all trying to strike a balance between time and money, but my clients want lots of both. They want a big life that matches their big business. And I teach them how to be relaxed, joyful, generous & courageous in their pursuits. I can’t think of a more rewarding way to give back to the world than by fueling the nurturers: women who are leading their own communities, PRESENT raising their families, and who are ultimately pouring back into the world. When women make more money, the whole world benefits. When women are fueled, they are capable of overflowing into their families. My coaching company helps women bridge the gap between the many roles they want to play.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My career is a story of failure collection. I’m a multi-passionate; and while I didn’t know if I’d end up a singer, a UN delegate, a tour guide, or a coach, I always knew this: I wanted to do something that made someone feel something. I wanted to be deeply connected to people through my work. I wanted to do work that mattered.
My coaching practice, Sincerely, Future You does that at the highest level.
But it’s rooted in creating high level spaced for women to be able to celebrate & move quickly through failure.
We know, intellectually, that the path to success is paved with failure, but we still try and avoid it.
Instead, I’ve created a system for female CEOs and ambitious career women to collect 4 failures monthly on PURPOSE.
3 business goals. And 1 personal.
My brand shows women that balance isn’t that hard when you’re not trying to feel good all time.
I teach them how to have a balanced approach to money, instead of trying to out-earn their overspending.
How to integrate their work and home life into their schedule so that they can be fully unplugged when they’re not working.
And how to feel the full spectrum of emotions along the way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Grove. I’m a laid back girl who likes to be able to walk into town fully dressed up or in workout clothes. I love to take friends into town to Green Street or Peacock Garden Cafe for a cocktail and some live music. I prefer Key Biscayne to South Beach, where parking is easy and we can pop in and out for some sun. I usually take my early risers there for a sunrise run over Biscayne Bridge – my mom is in a swimming crew there and we love to get a sweat in early! I also love that beach because I have little kids, so we need to be able to dip out should the cranky, witching hour hit 😉 Sunset and dinner at the Rusty Pelican is my favorite – can’t beat the view of the city and the happy hour!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So much of my work is a result of having great role models in my own parents. I believe more is caught than taught – and both my mom and my dad modeled a happy, balanced, generous, and loving life daily! Thanks for giving me a foundation that allowed me to see what truly matters in life.
