We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Talley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My intention is to create new and exciting architecture for the wellbeing of people and nature.
The meaning of Spring, the time of year, is a time of growth, and renewal. The term is also used more generally as a metaphor for the start of better times. Culturally, some religions believe the start of spring marks the start of the New Year.
We design innovative, exciting, beautiful, healthy, environmentally-conscious architecture with natural materials and palettes. Architecture that inspires from within and as objective form for a people to embark upon a new, positive beginning, and become alive, filled with light, and happy from the space invented.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are driven by our passion to create beauty, wellbeing and sustainability. How to describe our aesthetic? Where modern art meets the earth. Our team, weaves eco conscious strategy into our architecture and intends to help people save money, feel healthier, and happier, while still being design savvy. We care about our clients.
We are philanthropic, and design for the public. Each year we pick a project for people who are in need. This year we entered a competition with a design proposal for a learning center for girls. A sustainable space with classrooms, daycare, gardens, solar and water storage, and a safe center to educate, encourage and empower girls and women in Mozambique, Africa. We continue to give back with passion through design in hopes to help people and communities. Last year, we volunteered for the Westport Downtown Implementation Committee on the Downtown Improvement Project. We designed concept plans for improved pedestrian and traffic circulation, social and interactive green space, and recreational activities along the riverfront and parking lots for the community in Westport, Connecticut.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My idea of a fun time would be a coffee, smoothie and exercise (surf) to start the day, the rest of the day on the water, a boat ride and by the beach chilling, watch the sunset, an adventure out on the town to check out architecture, style and fashion, go for dinner at a hip spot, listen to music and dance by night.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Tom deserves a shoutout. He supports my dreams and goals and is beside me all the way. My kids, my family, my friends, my clients and nature. I am so grateful for the universal encouragement.
