Meet Jett Wilson | Writer/Comedian/Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jett Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jett, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Letting go people that wasn’t meant to go to the next level with me. I was always trying to save everyone in every situation, I had to start putting myself first.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart the most I think from other comics is the fact that I keep pushing through it all. I have never put the mic down, I have been through many ups and downs but one thing that has been consistent about me is I never put the mic down. I’ve learned that your passion with take you much further than anything in life. I’ve been broke on the road before, and literally ran into blessing to put me back on track. People can see the passion I have for stand up. I want the world to know it’s real. My journey, my story, my life is real. I am here because I can’t give up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well… I would most likely take my friends to this place called Velvet Lounge it’s located in my hometown. I mean the vibes are great, it’s black owned, and I am actually good friends with the owner. Good food and good energy. Of course we would have to stop by Fort Lauderdale beach for some sun as well!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout my Mother out!!! She’s always been the backbone to my career, my success, and my drive. She has taught me many lessons over the years and I am just so grateful to have her in my life as a constant reminder that someone believes, and loves me.
