We had the good fortune of connecting with Jody-Anne Stuart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jody-Anne, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Helping others make me happy. To be more specific I enjoy counselling others, encouraging whomever I meet and motivating them through my own story.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The arena of Authors has become quite saturated than times past, however this memoir allows me to share a unique journey of my life experiences and my faith. Being an author is fullfilling for me because as far as I can recall, I am the first author in my immediate family and i believe strongly in improvingeach generation. Whrre my parents stop in life, I should not stop; infact I should strive to acheive more and set the bar for the generation to coem after me. I have overcome quite a few challenges on my journey to becoming an Author but my determination to become the first author made my journey much easier because I am guided by the belief that we must leave a legacy behind and with that in mind I constantly had my ‘why’ factor in mind.

This journey to becoming and author has taught me discipline, self control, and self motivation.
I would love for the world to know that Beautifully Broken: finding God’s purpose & plan in hard seasons is a story of faith and belief in Jesus Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith. I want my readers to understand that the hard seasons are not for us to give up but finding God’s purpose in that specific season(s). I want the world to know that itbis possible to make progress while enduring harsh pains in life. Working through the hard seasons of life is most definitely challenging but God’s intent is to redefine us, to strengthen us and most definitely to prune us into his image. My memoir takes you through breaking negative generational patterns, forming new habits in generational bloodline and by testimonials how they too can forge new patterns.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t know many places in Atlanta but downtown Atlanta has always been a great spot for my friends when visiting taking them on the Skyview ride Atlanta, the coca cola museum and the aquarium. Rays on the River is definitely a go to.

If its summer, I’d definitely take them rafting in Tennesse, that was an experience never to forget.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to my husband Deacon Mason and my 2 children – Jo-Lee & MJ as well as my mom- Juliet Dixon, Bishop Bobby & Apostle Deserene Leslie & the saints from the Chainbreakers Ministry /Midnight Waroom
