We had the good fortune of connecting with JOJO FASHO and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JOJO, what is the most important factor behind your success?
In my opinion I believe the most important factor behind success is “Discipline”. It can be defined as the development of new habits, the regulation of emotions and actions, and intentional focus. You have to have discipline to create goals, make plans, and follow through with those plans. Disciplined people push through the temptation to procrastinate and waste time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of the biggest things that sets me apart from others is I am me. And what I mean by that is only I have gone through “my journey.” In my music I want to portray my life and my experiences. I always wanted to share or capture my thoughts. I always found comfort in making music. That was always my outlet to vent, When I was growing up, I was very quiet, passive and held lot of my feelings inside. Overtime I learned to use HipHop as a tool to express myself.

I got to where I am today by having discipline and sticking to the course that me and my team set. We have had many setbacks throughout our journey {incarceration/tragedy] So NO it has not been easy but the only way to overcome challenges is to take them head on and take in as much knowledge as you can.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to be patient. All good things come with time. Rushing can cause you to overlook things or making irrational decisions. Trust me I know.

One thing I want the world to know about Jojo Fasho & 8sidemuzik is we make quality music, and we are coming for the top spot. We on the lookout for Jojo Fasho “Loyal to tha Soil” coming soon. Las Vegas represent!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We wouldn’t have an itinerary. We live a fly life in Las Vegas, so we do things on the “fly.” The city is 24 Hours so best believe is nonstop action in the night clubs and casinos. A wee k long trip is plenty of time to explore the Strip and enjoy all the festivities.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out 8sidemuzik for supporting me and giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent. Shoutout to my family and friends for being patient with me as I navigate this life journey. Times haven’t always been easy, but we shall see a brighter future. All it takes is discipline and hard work.
